You know, something I always tell my team is that it’s not just about the tasks in front of us. There’s always a bigger picture. For example, when we’re working on a project, I’m not just looking at the deliverables—I’m seeing how this experience can help each person grow. I’m always trying to remind them, “This isn’t just about today’s work; it’s about where it can take you tomorrow.” I implement this daily at Reframes, and it’s incredible to watch our team evolve through every interactive meeting and challenging task. We design these experiences to push them beyond their comfort zones. And that’s when it happens—they start embracing the bigger vision and end up owning roles they never imagined they’d be ready for. 🚀 So personally, I think the step to creating a team of high achievers is to create an environment where everyone sees their own potential. When you start showing your team that bigger vision, they start to see it for themselves. And that’s what I call some real growth.  📈

So, it's been exactly six months since I joined the incredible Murka team. And in some magic way, this date matched the first day of my first vacation in the company. So, I would like to keep the moment, and a post with a story about these six months with Murka will be an excellent way to do it. 1. The recruitment process.  After responding to the vacancy, I received an offer to complete a test task. After completing it, I received an invitation for an interview. My first contact with the recruiter was like a friendly conversation. Friendly atmosphere, positive vibe. No stress, no worries. As well as during the technical interview when I first met my future team leader and head of support. The next step was feedback and an offer. 2. The onboarding.  After receiving the offer, the onboarding process began, which also went very quickly. And here it is—my first day at work. I had an excursion in the office (by the way, the office is fantastic), was introduced to the team, and received gifts and a greeting card. It was like a birthday party. 3. The mentorship. Here is one sentence. Dan, you rock! 4. The Probationary period. For almost four months, I studied the product, software, and principles of cooperation within the team. There was a lot of information and a new topic every day, so there was no time to get bored. But the learning process was a thrill. At the end of the course, I had an exam to test my knowledge of all the material I had learned. 5. The team. Last but not least, the team. Everyone is different but united by one word— support. There was not a single moment when I felt alone. I always know that I can count on the support and help of the team at any time. And it is priceless! To summarize. Was it easy - no. Was it worth it - 100%! Dozens of new acquaintances. Gigabytes of information. Thousands of dialogues with players. Interesting team-building events. And an incredibly friendly team. 100% worth it!

Here're some of the things that we celebrated as a team at our fortnightly all hands today: ⛳ Feature flagging certain sections of our platform so segmented users see the right thing at the right time 🎁 Celebrating the start of our experiment to drive social proofs using user generated content - and create variable rewards that get users coming back for more 🪦 Binning an onboarding step that no longer serves us so users have to do the least number of steps to get to value of our product ⌨ Make one single part of our platform more intuitive so our users don't have to think twice to do it in their daily workflow Who did all of the above? Is it growth team? No - all of these are separate initiatives of development, engineering/product and growth. But because we are always driven by customers voice, every fortnight we share what we're doing that actually delivers value to our customers and end users. How do you celebrate wins as a team?

You can't buy loyalty. It's earned through action. You can’t build a great team overnight. It’s the small, daily actions as a leader that compound over time that sets the team culture. The basics might seem simple (often forgotten) But they go a long way in building strong team cultures: ✅ Train your team so they’re always learning & improving. ✅ Show respect, transparency & genuine care for their growth. ✅ Create an environment where everyone feels valued & supported. Consistent actions build trust, loyalty & commitment. When you do the right thing, you won’t just retain your team you’ll unlock potential you didn’t think was possible.

Your team members will always remember your kindness. And the loyalty that comes with it will be invaluable. Work is a part of what we do, but being a team, trusting each other, and helping each other are equally important to us here at Meritus. These situations are very common in a work culture: → Your team members are exhausted and require help → They are having a bad day and need some kindness We’ve grown up in societies, and we thrive best when we work together. Sometimes, that means looking at the larger picture and doing things outside your job description or to-do list for the day. The best teams don't have the best players. They create the best team out of players they have. In sports, you see that all the time. A great team is one where 1 + 1 > 2. Where everyone is better than they would be individually because they are playing together. Here's why: 1. Focusing on strengths unlocks each member's potential for greatness. 2. Combining strengths leads to success. 3. The heightened understanding of each other creates a culture of collaboration and interdependence. 4. Spending more time in your strengths zone naturaly makes you much more engaged. So, invest in identifying and developing your team's strengths. Then, put them in the right roles. How to communicate to your team that their "good" is not good enough. ... Rosalina De Abreu recently shared an insightful experience about the challenges of maintaining consistent motivation within her team. Our programme helped her her emphasise the importance of not just fostering a positive and encouraging environment, but also of being intentional about leveraging team strengths. She realised that to truly address business challenges, it was crucial to communicate that while positivity is important, it must be coupled with a strategic approach to problem-solving. By encouraging her team to lean into their unique talents and collaborate more effectively, they were able to address issues more innovatively and productively. This experience underscores the importance of honest and constructive feedback within teams. It’s not about diminishing their efforts but about pushing them to achieve even greater results by harnessing their full potential and thinking more strategically about their contributions.
