I was live on 2GB radio! 📻🥳 Ben Fordham and the team 2GB Sydney are great advocates for blood donation and many of their listeners are donors themselves. It was a new and exciting experience for me to get into the studio, meet the production team and have a live chat with one of the media greats. Ben said it best “Don’t just listen to it. Don’t just be inspired by it. Book in and go and donate blood” Doing Good Feels Good... and it feels better with friends so donate together! 🩸Ask Lifeblood to join the BLOODY GOOD HUMANS team and contribute towards saving 100,000 lives! Are you part of our team yet? #2GB #Sydney #radio #savelives #donateblood #thebloodygoodtour #bloodygoodhumans #blood

What do all of these have in common? ❤️ charity: water used storytelling and a quiz to emotionally connect donors to the urgent need for clean water and the impact of water scarcity on hygiene and health. ❤️ Tunnels to Towers Foundation utilizes peer to peer outreach involving personal stories of heroism and loss from military and first responders, leading to an 88% donor retention rate. ❤️ Children's Miracle Network Hospitals provided innovative and engaging virtual events that encouraged gamers to support sick children. ❤️ Crisis Text Line's campaign shared real (anonymous) text conversations between their counselors and people in need to show their donor base the outcomes they can drive. Emotions. Deep connections to the heart. Storytelling. You don't compel someone to take a lifetime of action by talking about your organization's challenges, finances or goals. You don't compel someone to commit to being part of a long-term partnership through facts and figures. You move people to jump in and align with your cause by triggering strong, deep, palpable feelings that cause them to burst with "HOW CAN I HELP?" emotions. #nonprofits #fundraising #emotions

By supporting SADD Nation this holiday season, you can play a vital role in helping to impact hundreds of thousands of youth across the country. There is a tremendous need to elevate youth voices on issues affecting them. They have been yelling from the top of the mountains on: ◾ Traffic & Mobility Safety (i.e., addressing #distracteddriving, access to #drivereducation, and advocating for various automobile technology advances) ◾ Health & Mental Health (i.e., increasing #suicideawareness, access to #mentalhealth resources, and the pressures of school, work, extracurricular activities, and home) ◾ Substance Use Prevention (i.e., effects of tobacco & marijuana, addressing the #opioid epidemic, and the relation between mental health and drug use) #SADD is a part of that solution. We give youth more than a voice. We give them a platform to impact themselves and their peers. Through your support, you become part of #SADDNation, a team that will positively educate and inform youth across the country, ultimately helping to #savelives. Join us. www.sadd.org/donate
🌟 This holiday season, give the gift of *saving lives*. 🌟 Your generous donation to SADD empowers us to continue our mission of educating young folks, supporting caring adults, and strengthening communities. Together, we promote safe driving behaviors and prevent destructive decisions on and off the road. Every contribution directly supports programming that makes a measurable impact, helping to ensure every young person has the tools they need to make responsible choices. Because of you, more families can celebrate safely, and more lives are protected. Join us in making our world safer for everyone. What a great new campaign by Age UK. If only we'd understand the immense value in aging and older people, and looked after them with such care as antiquities. I spent as much time as I could with my grandma and won't regret one second of it- only the ones we didn't have. The same goes with spending time with my dad: he has so much to give even at 76. Be there for the elderly, not just if they are ill or in need, and not just when you have a bit of time or want something, but always: they are valuable and need to be treated as such.✨ If only we understood when we were young the real meaning of growing up and growing old: to take responsibility for our actions in society, to become human beings that really show up for themselves and for others with love, neither at the expense of the other. To not treat ill people and our elderly like damaged goods. 💎 Don't take time with elder people for granted, because one day there is no tomorrow. #agingsociety #oldergenerations #humanity #society #learning Age UK

Statistically 1 in 5 children in these United States experience hunger daily and do not know where their next meal will come from. As we journey toward Fall and the major Holiday Seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas, we need your help to keep our shelves overflowing with food and our freezers & refrigerators filled month to month. There are families, children, you may never meet hoping that you will assist us in helping them through this coming holiday season. When the Leaders were out and about, the curious crowds gathered and were hungry. The Leaders thought it was a good to just send the crowds away to find food they couldn’t afford. But then wisdom spoke and said …“#YouFeedThem. Support our initiatives, donate today. Consider setting up recurring donations. Will you help?? #GiveHopeAndShareKindness #ReducingNeedsOneHungrySoulAtATime #EconomicInsecurity #FoodInsecurity #HolidayAssistanceNeeded #DonateToday #Donate2024 #HostAFoodDrive #YFTMFPInitiatives #MissionalFoodPantry

Agility Meets Insight: How Generational Strengths Transform Organizations. Absolutely! Organizations that recognize the unique value of experience truly set themselves apart. History has shown that experienced professionals bring critical insights and resilience, while young people contribute fresh perspectives, tech-savvy skills, and relentless energy—creating an incredible balance of wisdom and innovation. For example, when Paul English co-founded the travel startup Lola.com at 52, he combined his industry knowledge with the energy of younger team members, resulting in a rapid market entry and competitive edge. Similarly, Lynda Weinman co-founded Lynda.com in her 40s and grew it into a top-tier educational platform with the help of recent grads skilled in tech and media. This dynamic mix led to LinkedIn acquiring Lynda.com for $1.5 billion when she was in her 60s. Another great example is Ray Kroc, who joined McDonald’s at 52 and partnered with young franchisees eager to build something iconic. Their combined forces transformed McDonald’s into a global powerhouse. The same was true at Facebook, where Mark Zuckerberg, fresh out of college, built the platform alongside experienced advisors like COO Sheryl Sandberg, whose years of business acumen played a pivotal role in Facebook’s long-term strategy. When experienced professionals and young innovators join forces, the results are truly transformative. Every decade of experience brings vision and strategy, while young talent brings creative solutions and agility—a combination that any organization would be fortunate to have!
