Why do kids love camp? It's more than just a week of fun. Check out this letter from one of our scholarship campers: STEM education is about lifelong passions and figuring out our world so they can change it for the better. Every $250 raised creates 1 full scholarship for a WEEK of camp, including provided lunches. Help us grant these wishes and bring STEM education to as many kids as we can! Consider donating to this wonderful non-profit organization that puts on the incredible "Summer YESS" Program! Bethany and I had the privilege of being invited last year to observe the program in action, and we witnessed firsthand the profound impact the kids, volunteers, and staff made on each other. The Summer YESS (Youth Education Summer Socialization) program offers opportunities that no other program can, creating a truly unique experience for everyone involved. Through the collaboration between AbilityPoint, Wichita’s USD 259, The Wichita Department of Park and Recreation, and Sedgwick County, YESS provides education, recreation, and socialization in a community setting. There is no other program like YESS in the nation, offering students, families, and the community a chance to develop friendships, build self-esteem, gain independence, and experience personal growth. Why Summer School? Special Education teachers spend approximately 85% of the fall quarter re-teaching what was lost over the summer. In YESS, students can continue in an educational setting, maintaining what they learned while developing new social skills. The students are challenged through fun educational activities relating to a weekly theme, providing a common goal for all the classes and creating an exciting learning environment. These themes unleash the students’ and teachers’ creativity, and the results are always exhilarating. Let’s support this amazing program and make a difference in the lives of these incredible students. Your donation can help keep the magic of YESS alive, ensuring that more kids can benefit from the exceptional opportunities it offers. Together, we can create a brighter future! In #OssiningNY, 42% of children live in low-income households or below the federal poverty line. More than 15% of families earn less than $35,000 annually, while the cost of living in Ossining is 30% higher than the national average. School budgets primarily focus on essential expenses such as teacher salaries, facilities, and mandated programs. They often lack the flexibility to fund the enrichment opportunities and innovative initiatives desperately needed to support our underserved community. Ossining MATTERS Education Foundation bridges this gap by supporting critical programs and resources that enhance education and provide opportunities many families could not otherwise afford. State funding formulas often fail to address the unique and diverse needs of districts like Ossining. Community support through #donations plays a vital role in leveling the playing field and empowering ALL children to thrive and succeed. 🎁 This holiday season, celebrate your loved ones with a gift that uplifts an entire community and builds a brighter future for us all. Consider donating today. ❤️ Learn more about Ossining MATTERS 👉 www.ossininingmatters.org #OssiningMatters #EducationForAll #GiveBack #MakeADifference #donation #notforprofit

East Bay Children's Book Project (EBCBP) - Holiday Donation Do you have children's and teen books to pass on? The mission of East Bay Children's Book Project (EBCBP) is to help build literacy by putting books into the hands of children who have little or no access to them. Working through individuals and organizations who help children in need, the organization has given out more than two million free books since opening their doors in May 2005. What: new and gently used children’s books, including board books through high school books. Books should be clean with no marks or stains. No textbooks, religious books, encyclopedias, magazines, adult books, or library discards. Monetary donations can be accepted by mail at 2501 Harrison St., Oakland, CA 94612 or online at https://lnkd.in/gyn-rHCW When/Where: - Turkey Trot bib pick up on Wed Nov 27 3-6pm at Veterans' Hall, - Piedmont Middle School library in the EBCBP box during school hours 8:40-2:40 - EBCBP, 2501 Harrison St., Oakland (across from Whole Foods) Tuesdays 3:30-5:30pm and 1st Sat of month (Dec 7). Look for the purple door facing Harrison St at the "Keep Clear" area of road. Why: Too many children in the Bay Area live in homes without books, and attend schools and programs where books are in short supply. Encouraging reading is not enough when families and schools do not have books. Books are given directly to children in need by teachers, social workers, health care professionals, community outreach groups, housing authority employees, and police officers. Some are used by schools, daycare and community centers, homeless shelters, and hospitals to create libraries at their sites.

💡 This Giving Tuesday, let’s close the achievement gap in education! 💡 As a parent of twins in the NYC public school system, I’ve experienced how challenging it can be to navigate the system and ensure every child has access to the resources they need. I’ve also seen how inequities in education can hold kids back simply because of where they live or the resources available to their teachers. That’s why I’m proud to serve as a facilitator with Inspiring Educators, where we work to empower school teachers and administrators with tools, training, and strategies to transform their classrooms and communities. This work helps bridge the achievement gap and gives every child a chance to thrive. This Giving Tuesday, I invite you to support this mission. Your donation can help expand programs that uplift educators and create lasting change for students everywhere. Every dollar we raise goes directly to the IE Equity Fund, providing grants and scholarships to make our training accessible to high-need, underfunded schools, districts, and organizations. Three ways you can support IE during this season of giving: 1️⃣ Donate if you are able. We have secured a match on all donations so every dollar will be DOUBLED! https://lnkd.in/eUXbdGE9 2️⃣ Spread the word. Share our posts on here to remind your network of the essential work that educators do every day and the urgent need to support them. 3️⃣ Connect us to new friends and supporters. Do you know someone who would be excited about our mission and interested in supporting it? Put us in touch or send them this link: https://lnkd.in/ejbfgQ3K Oh... wait, there's a 4th thing. 4️⃣ Thank an educator. Always, always, thank an educator 👏 💛 #GivingTuesday #EducationForAll #CloseTheGap #InspiringChange

It's officially "back to school" season! 📚✏️ The Dana Carmel Group is kicking off the new school year by donating $20,000 to the Menlo Park City School District and Menlo Atherton High School to support my children’s schools and our local community. I am a long-time, active Foundation member, and I know how much our school districts rely on Foundation support to provide quality education. Funds raised provide additional teachers, specialists, programs, and tools that make our schools extraordinary places for learning. That’s why we will donate $1,500 to your local school Foundation when you buy or sell a home with The Dana Carmel Group. This benefits both home values and school districts. A report by the National Bureau of Economic Research titled, “Using Market Valuation to Assess Public School Spending,” found that for every dollar spent on public schools in a community, home values increased by about $20. This increase directly translates to higher resale values. Send us a message to learn more! 📲 Dana Carmel Group | DRE 02076519

Teach The World Foundation is doing excellent work in the education sector for bringing out of school children into the education system.Incorporating gaming into education, especially through tablets, presents a dynamic approach to engaging students and potentially bringing out-of-school children into the education system. Games are inherently engaging and can capture children’s interest more effectively than traditional methods. Interactive elements, challenges, and rewards in educational games can motivate children to participate actively in learning.Games can be designed to enhance critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Subjects like math, language, and science can be taught through immersive gameplay, reinforcing learning objectives in a practical context.Tablets are portable and can be distributed widely, making education accessible even in remote or underserved areas. The scalability of digital platforms allows for the rapid deployment of educational resources to a large number of students.By harnessing the engagement of gaming, personalized learning opportunities, and the accessibility of digital platforms, Sindh Pakistan can foster a generation of educated, empowered youth who will undoubtedly shape the future of their nation.
Graduates are more than just students; they are future leaders and innovators. As we honor graduation ceremonies globally, it's crucial to remember the children who may never get this opportunity. Your donations can help bridge this gap by offering quality education to marginalized kids, paving the way for them to achieve their dreams and become tomorrow's graduates. Together, we can make education accessible for all. #digitalliteracy #digitaleducation #functionalliteracy #outofschoolchildren #EmpowerThroughEducation

Hello Colleagues, Connections, and Friends! The CohnReznick LLP Charlotte office CARES initiative for July has been collecting donations for Classroom Central. Through their partnerships, each $1 donated becomes $9 worth of distributed supplies for students in our community. These donations give students the supplies they need for a successful school year. Every dollar donated (via the link below) through the end of the day today will go to purchasing kits that will be given to local students in need. We will assemble these kits ourselves, and deliver them to Classroom Central next month. Please consider making a small (or large) donation to our local students and teachers! Consider this insight from a 3rd-grade teacher in Charlotte: "There are always unseen challenges for students. As teachers, we strive to understand and address the struggles they face outside the classroom. When kids live in poverty and high-stress environments, focusing on learning to read or understand fractions becomes incrementally more difficult, not to mention the stress of worrying if they can get the necessary books and supplies they need to complete their homework and lessons. With the help of Classroom Central, I can alleviate at least one of their stressors, making it easier for them to feel capable and successful while they're at school." Thank you for any and all donations!! <3 https://lnkd.in/gQezNchQ
