Happy International Bisexuality Day! Allyship plays a crucial role in creating an inclusive environment. #Allyship can be demonstrated through visible support, such as attending Pride Network events, using inclusive language, sharing your pronouns, display symbols of support like Pride flags, and advocating for policies that protect against discrimination. It’s also about being open to learning and listening to the experiences of diverse colleagues. One of the main ways to support #Bisexual and #Pansexual people is to actively challenge biphobia assumptions in our everyday lives. If you see or hear an example of biphobia or bi erasure, address it by sharing that bisexuality is real and valid. When allies actively support bisexual and pansexual individuals, it breaks down stigma and fosters a sense of belonging, which is essential for the well-being of the entire community.

Basic ethics aside, entrepreneurs would be wise to know this: transphobia is horrible for your business. Whether it's neglect or malice, if you consistently disrespect someone's gender identity: 👉 If it's an employee, you obliterate their productivity. It's not possible to do a good job in a hostile environment. Trust me, I've been that employee. 👉 If it's a paying customer, you lose a paying customer. (And probably a few more, cause they will warn others against you.) Trust me, I've been that customer. Make reasonable accommodations. If not because it's the right thing to do - because it's the right business decision.
Did you know that around 70% of trans people report having been harassed or discriminated at work? And 29% of them felt like they were never supported or had someone speak up for their rights. Two weeks ago, we offered our first open Lunch Talk and talked about what to do in order to change these numbers. We were very happy to see so many familiar and unfamiliar faces - thank you all for showing up for #trans rights! Our consultant Luka Özyürek talked about some of the most common issues trans, nonbinary and intersex people face at work and how colleagues can support them and become better allies. 🚨They touched on things such as having to use the wrong names on official documents, the challenges of gendered spaces (e.g. bathrooms), transphobic micro-aggressions and harassment. Luka explained what to do to be an ally: Learning about trans issues and listening to trans voices, asking for their needs, vocally challenging transphobia, reducing access barriers such as binary options in forms or dress codes, and much more. 🎀 It was great to see so much interest in this topic, and we hope to continue this series of talks about diversity issues that we’re passionate about. If you attended the talk, what was your biggest take-away?

Inclusion is not a favor; it’s a fundamental right. Let us be architects of a world where everyone’s story matters, where no one’s existence is erased. Let us educate, not alienate. Let us embrace, not erase. Let us be allies, not adversaries. In a world striving for equality, we find strength in our diversity. Let us embark on a journey where every voice matters, where no one is left behind. Today, we focus on the intersection of Sustainable Development Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and the rights of intersex individuals. Imagine a world where intersex variations are celebrated, not hidden. Where intersex individuals are seen, heard, and respected. Advocacy efforts should promote social acceptance, legal recognition, and participation of intersex people in decision-making processes. By working together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable world for all, regardless of their gender identity or intersex status. #EndIntersexPhobia #IntersexRightsAreHumanRights #EmbraceDiversity #IntersexInclusion #DiversityStrengthensUs #ProtectIntersexChildren #intersexisbeautiful♀️⚧️ #IntersexRights #StopIGM #intersexrightsarehumanrights #InclusiveSociety #intersexawareness #RighttoBodilyAutonomy #stopcontrollingintersexbodies

#TheMorningInclusive IDAHOBIT 2024 As an out cis-gender gay man who is a husband and a father, on International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), I ask my network to stand in solidarity with the LGBTIQ+ community. This day is not just a call to action against discrimination; it's a celebration of uniqueness, a reminder of the importance of inclusivity, and a commitment to creating environments where everyone can be their bold, authentic self. In a world that often tries to fit us into boxes, we must remember that our strength lies in our uniqueness. Every person has the right to live without fear of prejudice or persecution, regardless of who they love or how they identify. As professionals, we have the power to foster workplaces that not only accept but celebrate, value, and nurture every individual's originality. It's not just about policies and procedures; it's about sustaining a culture where everyone knows they truly belong. When we create safe and welcoming spaces, we unlock the potential for innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Let's use this day to reflect on our actions and attitudes. We must ask ourselves: Are we contributing to a world where every voice is heard, and every person is valued? Are we emboldened enough to stand up for others, to champion the cause of equality, and to be allies in the truest sense? Let's pledge to sustain these spaces of belonging, not just today but every day. We build a vibrant, resilient, and united community when we support each other in being our authentic selves. WHO IS WITH ME?!? #IDAHOBIT #Authenticity #LGBTiQ+ #Solidarity #Belonging #Inclusivity #Diversity #Equity #Accessibility

Friendly reminder- 🛑stop gay washing. Do you know what brand marketing to LGBTQIA2S+ people should start with? Supporting queer folk day in and day out. Creating a welcoming space for everyone to express their truest selves. Having fair and equitable hiring practices. Being a vocal advocate for one’s right to love who they wish. Being a safe space as a human being / organization. Not tolerating hate from employees, customers or partners. If your organization cannot say you do all this, please oh please don’t turn your logo rainbow. Pride month is not the time for a marketing ploy. Examine your internal situation before you go there. Feel free to chime in with other ways corporations can *actually* support the LGBTQIA2S+ community. ✌🏼 #pride #marketing #gaywashing
