🐾 Animal Pain Awareness Month 🐾 It's important to recognize the signs of pain in our pets, as they often hide discomfort. Here's what to look out for: Decreased Activity: Is your pet less enthusiastic about playtime? Changes in Posture: Are they hunched or guarding a part of their body? Understanding these signs can help us catch issues early. Always consult your vet if you notice changes.

"It would end most federal funding of tests on cats and dogs." -- Washington Examiner, 4/11/24 We just introduced the Preventing Animal Abuse & Waste (PAAW) Act. And I need you to join our fight for 🐶! This bipartisan bill will de-fund ALL painful NIH dog and puppy labs across the USA. Every. Single. One. Your hard-earned tax money pays NIH to abuse 48,000+ innocent dogs: - SEPTIC SHOCK EXPERIMENTS that poison her blood with pneumonia - INJECTING her with DEADLY cocaine and fentanyl in the name of "science." - LOCKING her in a mesh cage and strapping capsules full of hungry SAND FLIES to feast on her ears and flesh. The first few days following the launch of a new bill are the most critical. If we don't show an initial surge of grassroots support, Congress and the White House will assume this bill is not a priority. UNFORTUNATELY, we're witnessing a very poor level of support. ⏰ Please take 48 seconds to demand Congress pass the PAAW Act-this legislation will save a generation of puppies from their untimely deaths. 24act.us/2NRcKo - Anthony Bellotti, WCW President/Founder #urgent #care #helpnow #cruelty #stopmaddness #donatenow #sharecare #caringanimals #dogs #cats #doglover #catlover #helpwithlove

All creatures in the world deserve a life free from fear and pain. Humans can be very expressive about pain, but our pets are not always as capable of expressing pain. It is important to know and understand the signs of pain in our pets so that we can get them to a vet as soon as possible for treatment. With September recognized as Animal Pain Awareness Month, we asked Dr. Gina Dinallo (BSc, DVM), who is part of our emergency and critical care team at BBVSH, to share her tips for recognizing animal pain. November is both National Senior Pet Month and National Pet Awareness Month. This means it's the perfect time to review your clinic's senior care services to ensure you are offering the best for your aging patients. According to the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Senior Care Guidelines for Dogs and Cats, T4 and NT-proBNP testing is recommended annually, and NT-proBNP testing is strongly recommended before an anesthetic event.#vet #petmedical #petdiagnosis
