Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) is the most common cause of dry eye disease (DED). The Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society’s Dry Eye Workshop II identified MGD as a prevalent and chronic disorder. It is often characterized by increased epithelial cell growth, blockages, meibum accumulation, gland dilation, and, ultimately, gland loss due to atrophy. Hi everyone Hope all in good health. Avery nice case related to bladder carcinoma has been diagnosed this morning so i wanted to share with all of you. A beautiful 22 year old was refereed to us with a clinical history of 2 discreet episodes of visible haematuria . She also had intermittent abdominal pains at the time. Her last menstrual period had been 3 weeks prior and there was no history of dysuria or trauma. USG scan revealed echodense polypous lesion present on the right side of the bladder wall measuring 21 ×15 × 17 mm. By taking proper written informed consent rigid cystoscopy and transuretheral resection of the bladder lesion were carried out soon after. The lesion r was a unifocal 2 cm × 2 cm pedunculated bladder lesion, which was resected down to muscle in its entirety. Histology revealed grade 2 papillary transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder with invasion into the lamina propria. Fish analysis was performed which shows  hemizygous deletion of 10q23 PTEN locus Note : single red signals in most of nuclei and paired green signals for CEP10 #fish #analysis #intraoperative #biopsies #chemoradiation #female #safety #protocols
