Are you working with current information about your industry? How about your market? When was the last time you looked at the trends in your business? When was the last time you did a really good, honest, objective analysis of your marketplace to see what has shifted ... or are you still delivering the same old, same old, been-there-done-that-bought the T-shirt and now it's in Value Village kind of stuff? Because, as my mother would say, if you've been in business for more than 6 months, the world has turned. Leaders continuously watch for trends - maybe the products are the same, but the delivery channels are different, for example, when I first started coaching everything was live and in person... now there are multiple ways to get my knowledge out there and "live and in person" is rapidly sliding to the second-to-last choice. People are more interested in self-paced learning products and online courses. If you're selling products - are you losing market share to people who come to your store, check you out, surf the net, and make a buying decision based on whether it's cheaper to buy online - and how do you work around that? What are some of the innovative "fixes" that your competition has put in place that you may have missed? How about outsourcing? Now that our local world has gone global and we can buy practically anything from anywhere in the world how do you compete? 1. Do you have a product for every service 2. Do you have a service for every product 3. Do you build in obsolescence so you can get your old customers/clients to buy new products as you evolve? 4.Are you stuck in a "one of" economy when the world has gone to multiple channel/multiple product stream model? 5.When was the last time you got on top of the trends instead of just running behind the cart? At the pace our world is evolving, the old adage "you can't sell what people don't want to buy" has never been more true. #AngelaMeansBiz #biz4entrepreneurs #biz4leaders #biz4success

Hey there, we're Talking Shop and today we're exploring market demand. This appears to be the second most common reason for small businesses failing. It's a little shocking but with the proper planning and a solid go-to-market plan, demand should be identified and up front before the business launches into the market. ❎ 42% of startups fail because there is no market need for their product or service. A lack of market demand can become apparent with declining or stagnant sales figures or low customer engagement or feedback. Low demand will result in lower than expected revenues which impacts directly on the business. ✅ What can be done to identify low market demand before it becomes a problem? 🔎 Conduct Market Research: Regularly perform market analysis to understand customer needs and preferences. 🔀 Pivot Business Model: Adjust products or services to better meet market demands. 📣 Enhance Marketing Efforts: Increase marketing efforts to raise awareness and attract new customers. The Data Speaks: Why Do Most Advisors Fail to Thrive Long-Term or Hit a Growth Ceiling? The Problem: Lack of an Effective Marketing Strategy: Many advisors struggle with creating a marketing plan that truly works. ( That means we don't know how to build an effective marketing strategy) Fear of Selling: How often have I heard, "I don’t like selling; I don’t want to come across as 'salesy'?" This mindset usually means advisors aren’t making enough offers or closing enough deals. ( That also may mean there is a disconnect between who you are currently and where you are trying to go #mindset) Who do you need to become to reach the goals you have set? Unclear Differentiation: If you can’t clearly articulate what sets you apart, how can your clients? For the most part, we are all selling the same products, so enticing people with your $100 credit, breakfast for 2, and upgrades is not enough. We can all produce that. Avoidance of Delegation: This is a big one—many advisors insist on doing everything themselves and then wonder why they aren’t seeing growth. ( You are not the best at making dining reservations lol!) ***I don't know about you, but I am trying to build a team that runs my entire business better than I do. ( A team that manages themselves) No Scalable Systems: If you know me, you know I always preach this. Without scalable systems, your growth will be limited if you have to manage day-to-day operations. So, how do all these challenges connect? Your MARKETING STRATEGY is the common thread that influences each one. What’s Next? At The Biz Huddle, we’ll be breaking down a roadmap to solve each of these issues, led by a marketing powerhouse that we’ll announce soon. Nope, this won't be a keynote because we don't need inspiration. We need actionable items that we can implement right away. Stay tuned—this is going to be a game-changer. Happy Labor Day! Courtnie : ) #BizHuddle #BusinessGrowth #MarketingStrategy #Entrepreneurship #smallbusinessSuccess #ScalableSystems #delegation #travelAdvisors #travelandtourism P.S. The things below the surface are what actually create a powerful strategy that converts into paying clients. Couldn't we all use a few more of the RIGHT clients?

Wanted to share with you something very fundamental today… The number one question most clients ask me is, which strategy do I use for acquisition or what should I improve in my marketing It's an interesting question, because the answer lies within your business data… All we need to do is to record down all the numbers in your client acquisition journey and we can see where else we can find opportunities to improve and lift revenue and profit margins without changing the whole entire strategy Founders who understand this concept very well, tend to know exactly what needs to be done to scale… Those who don’t, usually get stuck in a never ending hamster wheel and get infected with shiny funnel syndrome or focus on the wrong metric like CPL.. You will need to zoom out to be clear-headed.. So I had a client who based on last year data. did projections for this year to hit 2024 goal/targets Looking at the numbers and the adspend he has, it was almost impossible to hit the targets at all. To hit the targets he would require 4x more adspend which will bring down ROAs to 1.5-2x Which isn't very healthy for the company Follow @bryanangzw for more content like this! #entrepreneurship #bryanangzw #coaching #consulting #BusinessInsights #DataAnalysis #ClientAcquisition #RevenueGrowth #BusinessStrategy #MarketingMetrics #ROI #BusinessAnalysis #GoalSetting #EntrepreneurialInsights #DataDrivenDecisions #BusinessDevelopment

Yesterday, local business owners from food and beverage sector gathered amidst the sun-kissed vineyards of Llanerch Vineyard Hotel hosted by Cywain. Louise and Jess, co-founders of The Cusp, shared invaluable marketing strategies, emphasising customer engagement and practical anecdotes. The workshop wasn’t just about tactics; it was about vulnerability. Business owners shared their triumphs and struggles—the sleepless nights over SEO, the dread of social media algorithms, and the relentless quest for ROI. They praised the practicality of the workshop—the actionable takeaways that could transform a struggling startup into a thriving enterprise. But here’s the twist: Despite the golden nuggets shared, some exhibited hesitancy. They tiptoe around professional support, fearing it’s a sign of weakness. Let’s break the silence. Seek mentors, consultants, and fellow entrepreneurs. Success isn’t solo; it’s a symphony of collaboration. Have you hesitated to seek professional support? Share your story. Let’s create a safe space for vulnerability, where we learn, laugh, and lift each other higher. 🚀 #MarketingMagic #LocalBusinesses #TheCusp #MarketingWorkshop #CollaborationWins

I accidentally rage launched Getting Lost in 2018. Despite my 20 years of experience as a strategist working on some of New Zealand's biggest brands, I had no idea what was in store for me as a business owner and it has been the most insane ride. From selling out literally overnight on the first day we launched, to an accidental launch in the States it's fair to say that for the first 4 years we were getting lost in business and had no clue where we were going. In 2021 everything changed. We took the business apart, made a plan and rebuilt it all (while continuing to grow). We now have an award-winning business that has achieved sales in the last year that are higher than our first 5 years of trading combined - while staying true to our values. None of this is to brag and say how great we are, but it is to say that we think some of the things we learnt as a female-led, values based business (initially without a clue) could help others on a similar journey. We already do this by offering free mentoring to other female business owners but we want to do more! So we're making a Business Edition of the Getting Lost Game. This game gets entrepreneurs who feel lost in business to try different strategic processes to unlock new thinking. As with all our games it will have cards with short directions to help business owners to unlock new thinking. It will also have a companion book that will expand on these ideas. These directions will all come from the things we've done on our journey - the accidental wins, the complete f**k ups and the plans that came off. It will cover product development, marketing, distribution, category analysis, mindset changes, tricks to unlock your thinking, growth tools and different ways to think about expansion. As with every game we make we don't make it alone. So tell us, what would you like us to cover in this new edition?
