Join us at EuroAsia-24! Did you know that healthcare textiles can harbor a significant amount of microorganisms, posing a risk to patient safety? Statistics are alarming: 30% of healthcare textiles, including bed linens, patient gowns, and staff uniforms, are contaminated with microorganisms during use 45-60% of hospital staff uniforms test positive for Multi-Drug Resistant Organisms (MDROs) C. difficile can be transmitted from hospital beds to patients up to 90 days after the original patient's diagnosis 92% of hospital privacy curtains are contaminated with potentially pathogenic bacteria, such as MRSA and VRE, within just one week! But there's good news! Our innovative textile have been approved as a Medical Device for bioburden reduction, providing a solution to this critical issue. Visit us at EuroAsia-24 in Bengaluru to learn more about our game-changing technology and how it can help reduce the risk of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs). Meet us at our booth #17 from 20th June till 23rd June. We can't wait to showcase our innovative textiles and discuss how they can make a difference in healthcare settings. See you there! #EuroAsia24 #HealthcareTextiles #MedicalDevice #BioburdenReduction #HAIprevention #InfectionControl

We assisted Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust in organising and conducting audits for the Antibiotic Care Bundle (ACB), which had a tangible impact on Trust policy. This, in turn, prompted a review of practices and policies, as well as the implementation of new guidelines aimed at supporting their safeguards against antimicrobial resistance across the trust. This case study explores how Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust utilised Tendable to streamline and improve their Antibiotic Care Bundle audits. Hospitals are a key hotspot for Antimicrobial Resistance. Many of the pharmaceuticals and antimicrobials administered in hospitals are so powerful that the patient can only metabolise 10% of them, and this produces a potent cocktail that finds its through urine and faeces into hospital wastewater. Unfortunately, traditional wastewater treatment plants are not equipped to remove this micropollution, and, in fact, municipal plants are an ideal breeding ground for AMR, as the bacterial population has the opportunity to interact with multi-drug resistant pathogens and developing further resistance, contributing to an endless cycle of contamination that is seriously impacting public health. It’s vital to treat this potent cocktail at its source, and with a system that is specifically designed by healthcare professionals to treat the micropollutants. Pharmafilter provides an automated solution that treats decontaminated waste and purifies hospital wastewater onsite, removing all pharmaceuticals, antibiotics, cytotoxins and harmful pathogens before they find their way into our water, soil, and air As we told The Guardian, in an interview that will be published in a special report on AMR, available tomorrow the 22nd: “Hospitals are critical to our well being and face enormous challenges, but the relentless cycle of contamination coming from hospitals is poisoning the natural environment and leading to serious health problems such as respiratory illnesses, heart disease, cancer and AMR,” he says. “To arrest it, we need proven technology that is financially, operationally and environmentally viable.” Watch this short video for information on how Pharmafilter addresses #AMR👇
