Movie star and award winning director #Clint Eastwood has a slogan that fits and works for anyone getting older(er) but not old. It's simple: Don't let the old man in. One person who lives it is two-time Formula 1 world champion, #Fernando Alonso, who will hit a major milestone in Mexico this weekend. It will be his 400th F1 race. Ahead of the milestone start, he provided some insights on what keeps him going - and, at 43, how he competes with kids around half his age. "I love F1 and racing as much as ever. I love competing and pushing to get the best from myself every single day. I'm looking for that extra one per cent all the time to keep improving," Alonso said. "You learn to not get too high or too low with different results over the years and to move on quickly from the previous race regardless of result; there's always another challenge. This sport is so fast-paced you don't have time to look back." But he also concedes that F1 has become easier in recent times. "The pace of the cars on Sunday is kinder to us than in the past. These days the cars start the race with full fuel, and we have to save tyres and energy throughout a race, so we're not at the full performance of the cars for long durations. "The only really physically demanding time in the weekend is normally Qualifying and that's very short, so I don't have a problem keeping up with the youngsters in terms of physical condition." He might have hit 400 but, like Eastwood - now 94 - he has no plans to stop. "I don't think I'll be adding another 400 to my total, but hopefully I've got at least another 40 or 50 more races to come in the next couple of years," Alonso said.

🔴🔴 Historic Race Ban for Kevin Magnussen Following Monza Incident 🔴🔴 Today marks a pivotal moment in F1 as Kevin Magnussen becomes the first driver to receive an automatic race ban under the current penalty point system, introduced in 2014. After a challenging race at Monza, Magnussen accumulated a total of 12 penalty points over the last 12 months, leading to his suspension for the upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix. This decision underscores the importance of adhering to F1's stringent safety and conduct standards. Even as Magnussen and Pierre Gasly engaged in a tight, wheel-to-wheel battle at Monza, resulting in a controversial 10-second penalty for Magnussen, the ruling highlights the FIA's commitment to consistent regulation enforcement — no matter how tough the competition gets. Magnussen's response to the ban reflects a mixture of frustration and confusion, particularly given the non-destructive outcome of the incident with Gasly. This situation sparks a broader discussion on the balance between aggressive racing and safety, urging a revisit of the consistency of race stewardship. As we look forward to the races ahead, this development serves as a crucial reminder of the significant impact that strategic decisions and rule adherence have on the sport. Let's discuss how this could influence team strategies and driver approaches in future races. 🔗 Stay updated and join the conversation as we follow how this unfolds in the F1 world. #KevinMagnussen #F1Ban #MonzaGP #Formula1 #RaceControversy #SafetyFirst #FIA

📋 How to Watch & What to Watch: Arai Bridgeport Half-Mile presented by Drag Specialties #ProgressiveAFT racing is unpredictable but not random. That’s what makes it endlessly fascinating, and it’s why we can’t wait to see exactly what unfolds this weekend. Last weekend featured five different manufacturers in the top 5 at the checkered flag of the Mission AFT SuperTwins main event. Is there any possibility the 2024 season could yet see not just repeat the five-in-five feat but top it with a six-in-six or seven-in-seven? Meanwhile, in the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles presented by KICKER class, there was real risk associated with the decision of Kody Kopp to make a run for a third title. On paper, this one appeared to be destined to be the most difficult one to obtain. Kopp had raised the bar and set the target. And by returning a third year, he also provided his opposition with the time and opportunity to match or exceed it.

Almost Time for Qualifying at the Adelaide 500 Supercars With Practice wrapped up, we've gathered some key insights: Practice 1 Fastest Lap: James Courtney from Snowy River Racing set the pace, showcasing speed but with room for consistency in their performance. Team Highlights: Bendix Racing, led by Nick Percat, secured the most fast laps, indicating strong potential. However, consistency will be crucial for better race performance. Consistent Performers: Red Bull Ampol Racing and Monster Castrol Racing stood out as the most consistent teams. Red Bull, in particular, looks poised to compete for pole position, with William Brown showing stronger performance compared to teammate Broc Feeney. Improvement Analysis: Nick Percat demonstrated significant improvement, climbing to P3 in Practice 1. David Reynolds had the narrowest gap to the leader, coupled with impressive gains throughout the session. Practice 2 Fastest Drivers: David Reynolds, Cameron Waters, and Chaz Mostert really stood out with their speed, making their teams solid contenders for pole position. Speed but Inconsistent: Some teams can pull off fast laps but aren’t consistent enough. They’ll need to work on turning that raw speed to convert it into race wins. Box Plot Takeaway: Compared to the previous races, the box plot shows that teams and drivers still have room for improvement. It looks like they’re struggling to find the best setup. Stay tuned for more insights as we approach qualifying! 🏁 Triple Eight Race Engineering Blanchard Racing Team Team 18 Walkinshaw Andretti United Tickford Racing Premiair Racing Shell V-Power Racing Team Erebus Motorsport Matt Stone Racing #Adelaide500 #Motorsport #DataAnalysis #RaceEngineering

F1 Under Liberty Media / F.I.A Current Rule Makers Is A ( JOKE !!! ) Bring Back The Days Of Ecclestone / Mosley. They Had There Issues Nothing Like Now. We are only two races in this season, and apparently it is going to be a major fiasco already. With the number of races added to the calendar, and a team like williams have no spare chassis , with additional silly street tracks like Miami /Vegas, what does that say about Liberty Media. All they care about is increasing market values and hipping up the true value of the teams. Now let's go to F.I.A ,the Australian G.P, penalizing Alonso for unsafe driving, with additional license fines for simply doing what any. CLUB or PROFESSIONAL Formula racer would do is to understand there weakness at a specific point on the track under the condition they are in forcing the overtaking driver to make a maneuver more difficult. It's Russells responsibility to recognise his given position on the track and consequences of following to closely losing front downforce. As a driver that is suppose to be the best at what he does he made a mistake and admitted it. However the F.I.A decided to step in and a judgment call overruling Russells own admission. This is crazy!! passing out penalties for just about everything, track limits, pit limits, changing the results of a race is unheard of. "penalties' should be rolled over to the next race and assessed based on starting grid positions" One only can imagine what is coming up next for the Japanese G.P and all other races. This Power Grab Of The Sport With Haphazard Rule Making Is Killing F1.

🔴RACE RESULT🔴 PWA Simracing EWC – R2: 6 hours at Watkins Glen Well that was a mild disaster. Somehow we get a podium out of a completely botched race. In qualifying, technical issues and the Porsche 963s non-existant mechanical grip made life difficult, nonetheless we started from the front row. Staying with the leaders through crazy traffic, it was a high-intensity race with high-intensity micro-lags until a little mistake in the chicane completely demolished our car. These are the moments when you’re thankful for a fast-repair. From there on it was a race for damage limitation, scraping together any points available. After three and a half hours we had a second incident, got wrecked by traffic and, on top of that, collected a penalty for speeding in the pits, which did not help either. That was the absolute low-point of the season so far, but what comes down must go back up. The traffic was an absolute lottery, and in the second half of the race, others drew the crashing ticket, too. We got gifted three positions and recovered some ground, which was enough for P3 and a lot of points in the bag. All-in-all, it could have gone worse, although we did have the overall race-winning pace; that’s endurance racing. We have at least retained our slimmed-down championship lead. Next race is a 12-hour event at Spa on November 30th! #144 R. Schwanke, V. Fantastic numbers and a real lesson in how to engage successfully with younger audiences.
The TAB Everest, Sydney’s premier race day, has officially sold out for the first time since its launch in 2017. With 50,000 racegoers set to attend this weekend, this milestone highlights the event’s growing popularity, particularly among younger audiences, with 35% of attendees aged 18-24 and over half of all tickets being General Admission. The TAB Everest has successfully attracted a new generation of racegoers, drawn to the thrilling racing and the exceptional value of a day at the races, with Joel Corry performing the After the Last concert for this year. Australian Turf Club CEO Matt Galanos said, “The TAB Everest’s sell-out crowd is vindication of the original vision of Racing NSW in creating the Everest concept and a testament to the event's evolution and the excitement it brings to the racing calendar. We’ve focused on creating an engaging, value-packed experience, particularly for younger audiences, and this result demonstrates our success in achieving that vision.”
