Yesterday, we welcomed Invest in Norway, Invest in Bergen and Innovation Norway to our offices at Midtun! It was great to discuss how these organisations could support our efforts and the building up of a Norwegian and European value chain from raw materials to end users! TioTechs team of Anders, Robert, Eirik and Paul shared our vision for batteries that can last longer, charge faster and operate safely in use cases that today are struggling to find cost-efficient solutions from traditional battery technologies. During the lab tour, Benedicte Fasmer Waaler could share that the work we are doing in building up a competency center on raw materials is exactly what Norway needs to succeed! Want to know more? Today, our colleague Benedicte Fasmer Waaler visited two Norwegian battery companies located in Norway’s second largest (and some - including Benedicte - claim Norway’s most beautiful) city, Bergen: ZNL Energy AS (separator) and TioTech (anode material based on titania). Both are the result of years of R&D; both are scaling up. And both have participated in our #NordicBatteryCollaboration ecosystem, joining us on «expeditions» to Japan, the US and Germany. Very interesting to meet IRL and hear about successes, ambitions and bumps in the road.
