Can AI help enhance the power in #leadership voices? Yes! Powerful presentation by Mike Grandinetti, global #innovation consultant, human-centric design thinking expert, entrepreneur, consultant, Harvard University faculty, TEDxBabson speaker "Harnessing the Power of #AI", and more.... He shared that according to Boston Consulting Group (BCG) recent survey of consultants, those consultants with access to AI had: 📣 40% increase in quality of tasks completed 📣 25% faster task completion 📣 12% more tasks completed Recently, he spoke with my Leading, Learning, & Change course students about many new AI applications and technology platforms in business. He then shared how students can ethically use AI in ways to elevate their voices, innovation and performance ---not replace them or their voice. We often assume everyone has access to the same tools and time. But Mike shared information about many ways students can access tools and take control of their learning. Key insights: 📣AI can give you more time to innovate in ways unique to your own voice, experience and research --- when used ethically. 📣How can we work together to examine how accessibility these new technologies are to all students -- in ways that enhance their motivation and voice, while adding positive impact to business and society? 📣What is our role as educators when all students do not have access to the same tools with the same resources (financial, time, etc)? 📣Motivating student learning increases with academic-business partnerships that connect experts with students. Looking forward to sharing more in the months ahead! Thank you Mike for your #visionary leadership and voice that inspires so many! #PowerInVoices #ThoughtLeaders2Follow #PracticalWisdom Eastern Academy of Management Organization Management Journal (OMJ) #mobts #jme #mtr #aom #universities #colleges #businesseducation #technology Towson University Towson University College of Business & Economics Towson University Department of Management Alissa Harrington Patricia Westerman Sidd Kaza Judy Harris Lisa Simmons Herbert Zhao Bart Debicki

🔬 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐩 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 🧪 Working in the lab isn’t just about scientific discovery—it’s a 𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑. As a student, I’ve learned that the skills honed through research can powerfully shape leadership in both business and entrepreneurship. Here are three key leadership lessons science has taught me: 1️⃣ 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 : In biology, we’re constantly urged to explore beyond the obvious, challenge assumptions, and think outside the box. This mindset is my favorite part—creativity drives both groundbreaking discoveries and business innovation. 2️⃣ 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦-𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞: Whether it’s failed experiments or solving complex numericals, science teaches us to approach challenges systematically—an essential leadership trait in any field. 3️⃣ 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞: Failed experiments are stepping stones in research, just as setbacks are part of the entrepreneurial journey. We are taught to acknowledge them. The lab taught me that resilience is essential for success. From labs to classrooms, science teaches us how to be adaptive, innovative, and effective leaders in a rapidly changing world. I hope these lessons resonate with you all and are helpful to someone in need. #LeadershipLessons #Biotechnology #Entrepreneurship #ScienceToBusiness #CreativeThinking #ProblemSolving #Resilience #InnovationLeadership #STEMLeadership #FutureOfWork #OutOfTheBoxThinking #ThoughtLeadership

I’m very happy to share that I’ve received my final grades for my postgraduate studies in Innovation and Enterprise Development at Trinity College Dublin. My module grades are: • Innovation & Creativity: First-class Honours. • Opportunity Generation, Recognition & Communication: First-class Honours. • Enterprise Development: Second-class Honours - Grade 1. This resulted in receiving a Second-class Honours - Grade 1 as my final grade. While this is a good grade, I also acknowledge there is much for me to learn. Even if I did receive the highest grade, that shouldn’t mean I’m done learning, and I think that’s an important lesson. That no matter how much we know, we should continue to strive in pushing the boundaries of that knowledge. Recently, I have been doing exactly that, striving to deepen my understanding of innovation and enterprise development through attending the Innov8rs.co Q3-series of Learning Labs. Which has allowed me to meet and learn from curious, and forward thinking business leaders. Following each learning lab, I’ve published a post containing my key takeaways, which has helped me consolidate my learnings. These posts have developed into an eight part series, of which I have published four posts so far. Unfortunately I had to delay the release of the final four posts by two weeks, so I appreciate your patience, and I’m thrilled to share more of my key takeaways with you starting again next week. I hope you’ll find them insightful! So until then, take care and stay curious! —— 🤝 Let’s explore the future of business, together! #Business #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #InnovationManagement

"Failure is a Far Better Teacher" -naomi stanford Failure can be an incredible catalyst for growth, but only if we approach it the right way. Too often, organizations respond to failure by: 1️⃣Searching for scapegoats instead of root causes. 2️⃣Taking drastic measures that overcomplicate processes and stifle creativity. 3️⃣Measuring success by how we avoid failure rather than how we learn from it. True resilience lies in how we react to failure. Instead of rushing to place blame or impose rigidity, we should aim to: 1️⃣ Investigate deeply to understand the root cause. 2️⃣ Embrace transparency and collective accountability so teams can learn together. 3️⃣ Adapt agile and light processes to foster creativity, not suppress it. Organizations that master this mindset don't just recover—they often innovate and grow far beyond their competitors. In fact, history shows that companies willing to learn from failure often achieve their greatest breakthroughs after their most spectacular setbacks. #Leadership #GrowthMindset #Innovation

This is my third course of HBAP ( Harvard Business Analytics Program). Professor Michael Tushman and Rory McDonald , I am deeply appreciative of your profound guidance and the collective efforts of our esteemed cohorts. This seminar holds immense significance for me as it catalyzes pivotal transformations within my startup. Beyond a mere exploration of the congruence model, coalition dynamics, informal power structures, and onboarding protocols, it serves as a crucible where theoretical frameworks seamlessly converge with practical application. The seminal inquiry posed by Professor Michael Tushman , "What can kill your company?" reverberates vividly within my consciousness, serving as a poignant reminder of the strategic imperatives incumbent upon burgeoning ventures. While the exigencies of this seminar do not mandate the submission of a formal course paper, I am compelled to undertake a reflective exercise encapsulated in a succinct essay. My gratitude knows no bounds. Until we reconvene at Harvard Business School, I eagerly anticipate our future interactions. #HBAP #Disruptive #Innovation #Leadership

Over the last 12+ years, I’ve led robotics projects, worked across hardware and software, and built data science teams. Along the way, I’ve also read over 500 business and leadership books. But here’s the truth: 99% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 300 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀. They should have been blog posts.
