Our first edition of #ImpactFest is a win! Exciting to bring MENDED to the panel on #scaling circular solutions. Here are 3 things my co-panelists said, that stuck with me: 🗣️ René van Geer from SECRID: Showed me the ultimate power of 100+ integrated repair points to bring customers back to your brand. #helloloyalty 💡 Arjan Hassing from CircuLaw: Proofed that regulations are coming regardless, so better use the required changes to create a competitive edge. Instead of just looking for compliance. 📣 Dora Chi Xu from Metabolic: The reason why people repair is rarely for the obvious reason of sustainability. People go to a repair cafe mostly for connection, it's a means to an end. At MENDED, we attract the other crowd: 72% of our users have never set foot in a tailor before. But we see the same: their motivation is rarely about sustainability—it’s about getting more value or performance from products they bought, and simply expecting brands to offer those solutions. Is your brand ready? 🔗 Take the quick repair readiness check: https://lnkd.in/e9fnPTQy Thanks ImpactCity, Victoria Knoop, Wieke van der Zouwen, KplusV, Ikenna Azuike #denhaag #circularity #fashion #repair #scaling #europe

Every action can be part of a larger change.
No t-shirts for you! In our latest production, Tipping Point, we've taken a bold step by choosing not to produce any merchandise products. This decision is part of our broader commitment to sustainability, which has been integrated into our business plan since 2023. Our aim? To drastically reduce Cirkör's ecological footprint. We're prioritising sustainability by significantly cutting down on producing all merch items, such as bottles and caps, that aren't essential to our business promotion. Instead, we're leaning into our digital ecosystem through signs and QR codes leading to our website, newsletter and social presence. By making conscious choices in our merchandise production, we're not just reducing waste – we're making a statement about our commitment to a greener future.

🌍 It's Recycle Awareness Week, and as we celebrate this important initiative, let's take a moment to reflect on how we can elevate sustainability in the film and #cinemaindustry. Recycling initiatives like upcycling props and reducing single-use plastics on set are vital steps toward a greener future. But why stop there? We can enhance our environmental impact by embracing biodegradable packaging at cinemas, sourcing local ingredients for concessions, and utilising renewable energy to power our venues. We could also advocate for a ban on plastic products, explore alternative cleaning products, reduce portion sizes and unnecessary waste, and promote reusable options for food items to inspire our audiences to make eco-conscious choices. We believe in cinema in the community, and #MontrosePlayhouse is a fantastic example of a cinema doing amazing things beyond showing films. On the first Saturday of every month, it hosts a Repair Cafe where tools and materials are provided to help fix items and expert volunteers with expertise are on hand to help, repair and pass on valuable skills. The #LexiCinema in Kensal Rise uses reusable popcorn buckets, like those you'll find at the seaside, and recycled jars for their sweeties to reduce their waste impacts. These are perfect examples of cinemas looking at what they can do to support Recycle Week all year round. What’s important is creating a ripple effect of eco-conscious practices that enrich our audience experiences AND nurture our planet. #recycleawarenessweek #sustainablecinema

Are you attending CIRCULAZE by CURAZE Summit tomorrow? I'll be discussing the human factor in circular fashion. When it comes to circularity, I've observed many barriers over the years. But the more I reflect on it, the more I realize it often narrows down to two main ones. Spoiler: one of them is about people. 👯👯 The truth is, circularity requires a systemic transformation and it's so crucial to understand the human element that drives or stalls change in the linear economy system that we have created. Tomorrow, I'll be on stage for a brief impulse keynote to reflect and spark a conversation around these barriers. If you're at the summit, let's connect! If not, don't worry - my keynote will be recorded and shared in Jan/Feb 2025 as an episode of Circularity.fm by Patrick Hypscher 🎙️ I'm curious to know what you think the main barriers to circularity are. Drop your thoughts in the comments or let's chat at the summit! 👇🏼 📅 Wed, 6th Nov 2024 📍 Munich 🔗 https://lnkd.in/erbYjSTp #circulareconomy #circularinnovation #customerbehaviours 📷 credit: unknown
