Last week we hosted our biggest ever One Toyota Women’s Conference, with the theme of ‘Thrive: Inspiring Progress Together’. We had an amazing range of inspirational speakers throughout the day and were privileged to welcome to the stage, Dr Kate Sieck, Alison Shamir, Jelena Dokic, Kimberly Cockrell and Heather Box. Breakout room speakers Dr Joel Pearson, Canna Campbell and Lizzie Williamson, also helped to motivate our teammates. We also heard from three empowering leaders within our dealership network - Tegan Blockey, Julie Watson and Tracey DeCoster in a fireside chat hosted by Toyota Australia Vice President John Pappas. The day was a significant milestone for our continued journey towards inclusivity for all and strengthening gender equality.

On International Women’s Day, let’s remember our strength in collaboration and inclusion. Diversity is crucial for successful companies and retaining top talent. As leaders, it's our responsibility to create inclusive workplaces. Let’s use this day to think about how we can contribute to a better future for all. #InspireInclusion #AWSxIWD
Today is International Women's Day, a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This year's campaign theme of Inspire Inclusion underscores the crucial role of inclusion in achieving gender equality. To inspire inclusion means to celebrate diversity and empowerment today, this month, this year, and beyond. I am proud to act as an ambassador for inclusion and diversity here at Amazon Web Services (AWS), and to be one of the voices that can ignite positive change and inspire others to embrace diversity and inclusion. As we celebrate IWD and reflect on the theme, let us reaffirm our collective commitment to creating a world where all women are empowered, valued, and included. Join me on this mission. Collectively, we can all inspire inclusion. #InThisTogehter #DiversityAndInclusion #AWSxIWD #IWD2024 #InternationalWomensDay #InvestinWomen

📣 Sam Grierson, our Director of Business Strategy and Chair of EDI at Wolseley Group recently attended the Construction Inclusion Coalition's panel to discuss the importance of inclusion in the workplace. A topic which we believe should be an on-going discussion. To find out what was discussed, check out the post below ⬇
“This cannot just be another discussion - this is just the start of us talking about how we can build inclusion within the construction industry. I think what's really important is that we're starting to come together as an industry, to talk about what needs to change, but more importantly, how quickly things need to change.” This is the powerful message Angela Rushforth, Managing Director at Toolstation and CIC Chair, left us with at the end of our International Women’s Day Panel Discussion. Last month we hosted a panel discussion with six of our Strategic Partners focused on understanding what needs to change to improve gender equality in the construction industry, including: - The industry's low diversity rate - Why EDI needs to be at the top of the agenda for leaders - The importance of allyship and encouraging men to get involved - Building Belonging - Challenging Stereotypes The panel was joined by Sam Grierson, Chris Murray, Helen Isherwood, Leighton Davies, Martin Mongan and Angela Rushforth and moderated by Sophie Turner. You can read more about what our panel discussed and the key learning points for our industry over on our website - https://lnkd.in/gj6yhKzt #BuiltOnBetter #InspireInclusion #Construction

It took society 84 years to get here—and we're still only at the beginning. Visuals below 👇 to prove 🤔 In many parts of the world, we've made significant strides toward gender equality and inclusion. Yet, in other regions, women’s rights and basic freedoms are still not acknowledged in the same way. As we work in global organizations with colleagues from diverse cultures and backgrounds, it’s hard to fully grasp the reality that some still live without the rights and opportunities many of us take for granted. The rise of technology allows us to collaborate seamlessly across borders, but it also highlights the stark differences in how inclusion, diversity, and acceptance are understood and practiced globally. How long will it take before these values are embraced everywhere, and we can truly say that the world works together—not just virtually, but in a way that honours equality for all? 🤔 #Inclusion #Diversity #Equality #GlobalLeadership #WomenInLeadership #GenderEquality

Advocating for gender equality in the workplace isn't merely about fulfilling quotas or checking boxes; it's about fostering a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and opportunity. And for leaders, it’s about becoming an ambassador for company initiatives that help everyone have better experiences at work. So, for our final Women’s History Month installment, we asked leaders at our partner companies to discuss the work their organizations are doing to meet gender equality goals. Here's what Lazer Logistics' Candice Mirasol had to say. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eyEw3arP
