We are excited and delighted to announce our speakers for the World Council Annual Global Symposium & Transcultural Leadership Summit 2024! How can art promote transcultural dialogue? Join us on the 22nd of November and we will discuss this question with Tião Santos. Tião Santos, a Brazilian waste picker and activist, gained international recognition through his work featured in the documentary Waste Land. Directed by Lucy Walker, Waste Land follows Tião and other catadores (waste pickers) who work in Jardim Gramacho, one of the world’s largest landfills, located outside Rio de Janeiro. The film highlights Tião's journey as he collaborates with artist Vik Muniz to create large-scale portraits made from recycled materials collected from the landfill. This project not only sheds light on the lives and resilience of Brazil's waste-picking community but also brings attention to environmental and social justice issues, challenging viewers to reconsider waste, value, and dignity. Tião Santos has since become a prominent voice for sustainable practices and the rights of informal workers, embodying resilience and hope. Join us and get your ticket now for the 22nd of November: https://lnkd.in/d9pZguiA World Council on Intercultural and Global Competence, Darla K. Crafting the Story of Green Leadership in Kazakhstan’s Circular Economy Our team is delighted to present a unique book project that traces the contours of green leadership within Kazakhstan's circular economy. Led by Dr. Shumaila Yousafzai and featuring the dedicated efforts of Nurlyaiym Zhaksybayeva, Mohammad Habib Abdullah, and Zhanar Kulzhanova, this work aims to spotlight the trailblazers at the helm of Kazakhstan’s sustainable transformation. This narrative is more than a mere recounting of businesses; it’s an homage to the leaders who merge Kazakhstan’s nomadic legacy with innovative eco-conscious strategies. We delve into the lived experiences of these leaders to unveil how they are steering their enterprises toward ecological and economic sustainability. The heart of our book lies in the in-depth interviews with entrepreneurs who exemplify green leadership. These leaders, with their roots in ancient Kazakh traditions, are now scripting a new chapter in sustainability. They don’t just run businesses; they spearhead movements, cultivate change, and inspire a collective march towards a sustainable future. As we edge closer to our publication in Summer 2023, our team is weaving together these potent stories of leadership that transcend business as usual. Our driving force is to illuminate the path these leaders are carving, not just in their industries, but also in the ethos of their communities.

At EduEnable, we believe that the most impactful way to showcase the value of education is through the stories of those who have lived them. Whether it’s sharing insights from alumni or capturing the journeys of students, storytelling brings their experiences to life and helps us connect on a deeper level. This is what we have done for the SI Leadership Programmes in partnership with Edified. We interviewed their alumni to highlight the transformative impact of their programmes and the incredible journeys their participants are now on. These stories reflect growth, leadership, and making a real difference in the world. Why is storytelling so important in the education sector? Because stories help us build connections, inspire others, and show the real-world impact of educational opportunities. It's a way to bring abstract concepts to life and engage with audiences in a more meaningful way. 📖 Check out one of these powerful alumni stories and discover how innovative leadership can truly shape the future: https://lnkd.in/dnkDYKMK #EduEnable #StoryTelling #AlumniStories
