Last week, I had the privilege of moderating an insightful panel with Jonathan Lemmond, Jennifer Chalos, LEED AP, Sean Scollins, PMP, and Brian Geller LEED AP at CREtech on Debunking Retrofitting Myths for Smart, Decarbonized Buildings. Here are some key takeaways from the discussion: 🌍 The built environment accounts for 37% of global emissions. Half of the buildings that will exist in 2050 are already here, making retrofitting a critical strategy for reducing both operational and embodied carbon. 💡 Misconceptions slow progress: Many believe retrofits are too costly, complex, or disruptive.
