Partnerships is on the way up! There’s still a long road ahead, but… Momentum is building. Executives are starting to pay attention and ask questions (albeit not always the right ones). Roles are starting to open up. Investors are asking about ecosystem strategies more often. Budgets for partnerships tooling are becoming more common (and larger). This is the time for our community to coalesce and work together to build upon this momentum. We need to hold ourselves, and each other accountable, to deliver results AND to share our successes with the community. We need to keep educating those around us on how, and why, partnerships are successful. This year will be a catalyst for transformation in our industry. We just need to keep grinding, measuring, connecting, and sharing. That was the conclusion from last week’s gathering of top Partnership Leaders in San Diego. We’ve got this, let’s make 2024 the beginning of the Partnerships Renaissance! P.S. Here’s a pic of the meetup!

It's time to be honest. I don't love equity conferences. Here's a few reasons why: ❌ Horizontal relationship building: I never have enough time to get to know folks just their business cards. Remember: we all have something to share, something to teach. Collect wisdom. ❌ Stuck at introductory learning: Plenty of workshops pique my interest, yet I always leave wanting more regardless of the "level" of familiarity. I end up stalking the presenter, not good. ❌ White culture timing: I get it, scheduling and logistics. But, can we honor the time and space needed to build relationships, and learn deeply together? Readjust our relationship with time. ❌ The effin' cost: Just because it's not polite to cuss all the time. Registration, lodging, airfare, car, now food too, all the while not paying presenters (And charging presenters to register? wtf.) ❌ Sensory overload: Not all of us love being in rooms with 3,000 people all the time. I miss the quiet, I miss the calm. ❌ Stay indoors. Ugh. So many closed doors. Can we breathe air together? Sit under a tree? Learning doesn't need to happen inside. Be in the community. Literally. Ok, that's a longer list than I planned and I didn't even talk about the environmental impact. But do you see? That's NOT equity in action. That's just talking about equity. I should get to the point before I get irritated: We're action-ing. It's a new world and we're in charge, so why not? As the Head Architect of Aspirations of The Equity Consortium, asking revolutionary questions like, "What if...?" activates my title. Therefore, we introduce "A New World Three Day Listening Circle" in Seattle, Washington (Sept 18-20, 2024). We have 22 of 30 spots remaining (to the Trailblazer Eight, thank you for the vote of confidence to keep us going!) so if you haven't, now is a time good as any to check it out, O Fellow Revolutionary. Meanwhile, click on and pop out our "D.E.I. isn't dead" mini-journey below for a taste of the future (Spoiler: It's about language). That's Equity.

🌍 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻✨ This past week, I had the privilege of attending the 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗘𝗢𝗦) 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 (𝗤𝗖𝗘) in 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻, and what an experience it was! 💡 The QCE is not just an event—it’s an opportunity to 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 from around the world, learn from one another, and celebrate the impact we’re making for entrepreneurial businesses. From the 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, where we welcomed new Implementers into the EOS community, to the 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, the energy in the room was electric. ⚡ It’s always inspiring to meet like-minded professionals who share the same passion: helping businesses 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and build 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀. 🚀 Together, we’re empowering leaders to break through barriers and achieve their 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀. I’m especially grateful for the chance to collaborate with so many brilliant minds. Whether it was exchanging ideas, sharing tools and strategies, or just swapping stories over a cup of tea, these connections reinforce why I love what I do. 💼☕ For me, this QCE was a reminder of how much we can accomplish when we operate within a proven system like EOS—and the profound impact we have on the organizations we serve. A huge thank you to the 𝗘𝗢𝗦 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 for another incredible quarter and for continually inspiring me to help businesses reach their true potential. Here’s to another quarter of 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀𝗅 💪🙌 What’s your biggest takeaway from the last quarter? Let’s keep the conversation going! 👇

To my fellow founders: you are not alone. As the leaves fall, the air gets crisp, and you’re trying to make sense of year-end financials, remember that one of the most powerful tools you carry is your network. And opportunities to engage with real people in real places about topics that you’d otherwise be handling behind closed doors are all around you. Case in point: The fall gathering of The Agency Side. More than just a meetup for the North-of-Boston agency crowd—this quarterly to-do is a chance to dive into the challenges we're all facing. And it never disappoints. Our recent session centered on an open, no-fluff discussion about revenue models. We covered it all—from Value-Based pricing to Retainers to the tried-and-true COGS+. Hearing how different agencies tackle this tricky part of the business sparked ideas and left me inspired to bring some of these approaches back to Pennant Video. What sticks with me after events like these isn’t just the discussion topics or the networking—it’s the support from peers who really get the ups and downs of this industry. Conversations that dig deeper than the usual small talk are what keep me coming back to The Agency Side. The takeaway? New perspectives, practical insights, and a growing network of peers who are genuinely rooting for each other’s success. Networking gets us in the door, but real conversations are what make us stay. _________________________ Big thanks to Peter DiGeronimo for running point on this awesome community, to panelists Nicolle Fagan Killelea, Mackenzie Fraser, josh sheets & Amy Wolfe, and to Matt Doyle, Tyler York, GYK & Big Brick for hosting this event. Stop trying to solve all your business problems alone—you’re making it harder than it needs to be. Every week at our online Roundtable - The Private Community of Founders meetings we host a 'town hall'. This is where we get founders together to break down their biggest challenges and come up with real, actionable solutions. No fluff, no theory. Just a room full of people who’ve been there and done it. In the last few weeks alone, we’ve covered: → Daily workflows and automations: members shared the systems keeping their businesses running smoothly. → LinkedIn content strategy: we dissected what one member should be posting to get actual results. → We tore into an event growth strategy: helping one member figure out how to scale their event and increase engagement. → And last week, we took on: How do you juggle multiple projects at once? In these sessions, the member or your most popular topic gets the hot seat—real feedback, real answers, and real results. It’s founders helping founders. We push each other, share what works, and grow faster because of it. If you’re trying to figure it all out on your own, you’re making this harder than it needs to be.
