In the journey of a client training alongside their service dog, progress lies not just in the physical steps, but in the deeper emotional strides taken. Each interaction, each moment of connection, is a step forward in rebuilding trust, rekindling hope, and rediscovering purpose. In the bond forged between a client and their service dog, there's an acknowledgment that progress isn't always linear. It's a dance of setbacks and breakthroughs, of moments of frustration and moments of profound connection. Yet, through it all, there's a commitment to moving forward, one step at a time, with the skills they've learned to shape and define the lives they now want to live. #veteransupport #veterans #firstresponders #servicedogs #healingjourneys

🌲 Let's Talk History and Conservation 🌲 I recently came across an intriguing article by Alexis Clark from the History Channel about the critical role of the Buffalo Soldiers in protecting our nation's national parks. These soldiers, hailing from segregated Black regiments, added "park ranger" to their titles and played a crucial role in building and safeguarding the infrastructure of our public lands. Despite facing immense challenges and discrimination, the Buffalo Soldiers stood as stewards of our natural heritage, contributing significantly to "The American Conservation Story." The story of these brave soldiers highlights not only their courage and dedication but also the historical context of their service. After the Civil War, Congress enacted legislation that paved the way for the inclusion of African American soldiers in the regular Army, leading to the formation of the 9th and 10th Cavalry and the 24th and 25th Infantry, known as the Buffalo Soldiers. Starting in the 1890s, these soldiers had already earned valor in the Indian Wars and Spanish-American War. Their service as park rangers in our national parks added another layer to their already impressive legacy. The article sheds light on an often-overlooked aspect of our country's history and underscores the importance of diversity in conservation efforts. I encourage you all to read the article and share your thoughts on how it contributes to our understanding of "The American Conservation Story." September 11 2001 brought us the Patriot Act and a transformation to our privacy as citizens. 9/11 the sequel is currently being manufactured in Afghanistan today. AI police, social credit scoring, and AI surveillance through universal facial recognition and the internet of things is the new stated goal of the same globalist elite that were around last time. Will another series of media hyped terrorist attacks in the west get you to accept a social credit score administered through total AI surveillance? Should we just tell the globalists that we can skip the manufactured terrorism and false flags this time and go straight to the part where they get more control over the population? Narcissistic psychopaths currently allowed to lead us want to be praised for their brilliance. Should we tell them that their tricks are worn out or will that provoke them into more devious plots? #gwot #september11 #parisolympics #neverforget #davos #CBDC #aisurveillance #socialcreditscore #blackrock #AIpolice #narcissisticpsychopathsdontquit

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." During the 19th century, the mass extermination of buffalo in North America had profound and devastating consequences for Native American communities. The decimation of the buffalo population was not only a result of commercial hunting but also a deliberate strategy employed by European colonialists and the U.S. government to undermine the indigenous way of life, as well as fee-up land for cattle farming, collect hides and for fun. “Kill every buffalo you can! Every buffalo dead is an Indian gone.” - a US Army Colonel (Atlantic, 2016) This cruel tactic aimed to starve Native Americans and force them into reservations, clearing the path for westward expansion. Historical records, such as the accounts of Colonel Richard I. Dodge and government documents from the time, detail the systematic destruction of the buffalo herds as a means of subjugating and displacing indigenous populations. The consequences were catastrophic, leading to cultural disruption, loss of sustenance, and the erosion of traditional Native American lifestyles. Understanding this dark chapter in history sheds light on the intricate and often brutal dynamics that shaped the relationship between colonialists and Native Americans during this period. . 👍 Follow @yourplanet.earth for more 🙏 Turn on notifications for future updates #YourPlanetEarth #planetearth #saveearth #saveenvironment

For some wildlife, disturbances caused by military training activities are actually key to survival. The rare eastern regal fritillary butterfly is found only at Fort Indiantown Gap in Pennsylvania, which is home to one of the largest expanses of native warm-season grasslands in the Northeastern U.S. This habitat requires periodic disturbance, at the right time and intensity, to keep the butterfly going strong. https://ow.ly/vO6u50R9xR7

James Madison on why Americans have the second amendment, it is to guard against government interventions. Our second amendment: “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Madison feared the federal government as well as foreign governments that would invade the liberty of the American people. He talked about the ratio of a federal military to the amount of armed citizens. Madison writing about this freedom from the Federalist Papers #46: “This proportion would not yield in the United States an army of more that twenty-five or thirty thousand men. To these would be opposed a militia amounting to near half a million of citizens with arms in their hands, officered by men chosen form among themselves, fighting for their common liberties, and united and conducted by governments possessing their affections and confidence. It may well be doubted whether a militia thus circumstanced could ever be conquered by such a proportion of regular troops. Those who are best acquainted with the late successful resistance of this country against the British arms will be most inclined to deny the possibility of it. Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more surmountable than any simple government can admit of. … governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.” Maybe this is why some people want to restrict this right. Liberals and progressives want to change American’s traditions and restrict our liberties. They know the right to regulate is the right to destroy. They might be afraid of resistance. Another something to think about, with the Biden open borders we may need to defend ourselves.

In late November, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reduced water releases at Gavins Point Dam to the winter rate of about 90,000 gallons per second. This change affects Missouri River water levels, which can impact everything from drinking water supply to recreation, wildlife habitats and even ice conditions as winter sets in. The drought worsened with October’s runoff in the Missouri River basin above Sioux City, Iowa, at only 43% of the average. Over 95% of the basin is in drought, with conditions expected to persist or expand in the upper basin over the next month, while some improvement is likely in the lower basin. #GavinsPointDam #MissouriRiver #DroughtConditions

Invasive carp might be amusing to watch fly through the air, but the impact these fish would have on the Great Lakes is no joke. That is why we wish to thank Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer for stepping up and committing to protect the Great Lakes with the Brandon Road project. This joint effort with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is a monumental step towards keeping invasive carp out of the Great Lakes and builds upon TNC’s efforts over the last 20 years, in collaboration with many partners, to develop innovative methods for detecting and preventing invasive species from entering the Great Lakes. https://lnkd.in/gcCZnv-2
