[𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆] 💚 #Sustainability starts at the origin of our products. We at #WorleeNaturProdukte carefully select reliable and committed partners all over the world, who take responsibility for people and nature. For fair products of the best quality, we focus on sustainable farming, processing and trading right from the beginning of our relationships with suppliers and partners. Our long-standing partnerships are characterized by mutual learning and development. This helps us to grow together. The #Worlée sustainability department and the purchasing department work closely together on a daily basis to identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain. In doing so, they ask questions such as: Where are the risks for violations of human rights and environmental standards? Or how can Worlée support its suppliers to improve labour standards in the long term? ⭐️We are honored to announce that Smart Box is one of 30 ESG Leaders to win a 2024 Seal Business Sustainability Award. SEAL Awards honor leadership, innovation and commitment to sustainable business practices. At Rhodes Pet Science we are reimagining the future of pet care, for pets and their people. Smart Box is the world’s first and only health monitoring cat litter in a natural substrate - all other health monitoring litters available today are made with silica crystals. Similar to clay-based litter, they require mining for silicon dioxide which can contribute to flooding, erosion, pollution and deforestation. Smart Box utilizes a lightweight natural substrate made of pellets derived from corn – a renewable resource that does not require mining – to reduce both brand and consumers’ ecological impact. The corn-based pellets are flushable, reducing the nearly 8 billion pounds of cat litter that ends up in landfills every year. We are proud of Rhodes' company commitment to blend innovation and sustainability to forge a better, healthier future for our pets and our planet. Are maggots the unsung heroes of sustainable innovation? 🐛🌿 Exciting developments are brewing at the University of Technology Sydney in partnership with GOTERRA – a trailblazer in food waste management. Goterra's innovative approach utilises black soldier fly larvae, turning them from wriggly critters into eco-warriors. These larvae munch through food waste, transforming it into valuable, eco-friendly protein and fertiliser in just 12 days. Since 2023, the UTS Integrated Product Design Research Group (IPD-R) have been working closely with Goterra to further refine this bioconversion process by developing an innovative manufacturing solution that aligns with Goterra’s circular economy objectives. This project exemplifies the rigorous research-focused approach that IPD-r adopts in its collaborations. Their aim isn’t just to create innovative products but to sculpt resilient futures that resonate with the socio-ecological fabric of our society. This project highlights the central role of product design in advancing sustainable practices and solutions. IPD-r and Goterra's partnership represent a significant step towards creating a circular economy and reducing the environmental impact of food waste. #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #Innovation #UTSResearch Berto Pandolfo Stefan Lie, PhD Anton Nemme Roderick Walden
