A powerful message that there is a huge gap, void, unconscious and conscious bias that shouts loudly that psychological safety (safe to speak up) is not really attainable for many…. no matter what organization, industry or company! The message needs to be a visible or invisible disability does not define who you are or what you can achieve! Success is dynamic and fluid, as environmental contexts can be adaptable and systems can be resilient and change! Leads back to the SRSR (Self Reflection Strengthens Resiliency) question - How do you define #accountability? Punitive or Growth/Flourishing when a mistake, error, conflict or disagreement occurs! ✅ I recommend watching today’s webinar that will assist leaders in building psychological health and safe workplace cultures from a neuroscience lens on how we can learn to be accountable! 2 Scary facts for you to start your Wednesday… - 88% of UK workers have experienced some form of burnout in the last 2 years! - One in Five UK working adults had to take time off in the last year due to poor mental health caused by pressure or stress! I love a good health and well-being podcast and have just listened to a recent one from #drranganchatterjee with some helpful tips for colleagues and managers to reduce the chance of this happening to you or someone around you. Some really interesting ideas around: - Having inactive items on your to do list and highlighting that to your line manager - The importance of solitude - Obsessing over quality rather than quantity - Measuring productivity rather than “busy-ness” I highly recommend a listen to episode #466 of the Feel Better, Live More podcast - Break free from burnout (in fact I would recommend most episodes!) #fblm #calnewport #mentalhealth
