International Day of Climate Action falls on the 24th of October every year to raise awareness of the pressing need to address climate change. 🌏 Climate action means one of two things: Firstly, reducing harmful emissions that cause this rapid rate of climate change. Secondly, improving our adaptation to the effects of climate change, such as rising sea levels, flooding and drought. 🌊 In our latest blog post we discuss sustainable ways we can manage this and how we can all do our bit. Europe is increasingly facing extreme heatwaves, droughts, floods, and wildfires. Let’s face it: climate change isn’t just a future threat; it’s a present reality. While we need to step up our efforts to fight it, we must also strengthen our resilience and prepare for its impacts. The key to this? Working with nature. The upcoming European Commission climate adaptation plan will be crucial to create a more climate-resilient future. No the sky is not falling, but the sky is changing. For sure a climate catastrophe is looming but the opportunity to create a global positive shift on climate has likely never been better. Governments have failed, but disrupted governments such as in the USA enable different pathways to climate mitigation that do not require their support. The beauty is they will not get in the way and that is most of the battle and that creates a wide opening to navigate through. Change always creates opportunity for more change. Once you reflect back on previous 'traditional' governments you soon realize, none of them really made a difference no matter their political stance on climate. Ask yourself why? There are a few pathways where positive climate impact can occur at greater than scale via global entrepreneurship. All it would take is a LOT of courage by groups of like minded ambitious committed entrepreneurs.

Climate change is intensifying extreme weather events, leading to more frequent and severe floods worldwide. Rising global temperatures increase moisture in the atmosphere, fueling heavier rainfall and causing rivers to overflow. Melting glaciers and ice caps contribute to sea-level rise, which exacerbates coastal flooding. These events disrupt communities, damage infrastructure, and threaten ecosystems, underscoring the urgent need for climate action to reduce emissions and enhance resilience. #Climatechange BBC News #GlobalFloods #ExtremeWeather #ClimateCrisis #Sustainability #ClimateAction #EnvironmentalImpact #FloodPrevention #ClimateResilience #GlobalWarming #Floodsinsurance
