New Incentives is dedicated to the global goal of dramatically reducing the number of zero-dose children—defined as children who haven’t received a single dose of diphtheria-, tetanus-, and pertussis-containing vaccines. Zero-dose children are the most vulnerable, accounting for nearly half of all vaccine-preventable deaths. Our efforts to reach zero-dose children include gathering granular data on where these children live, conducting targeted outreach to their families through awareness sessions and mobile vaccination units, boosting demand for vaccination through cash incentives, tracking progress over time, and sharing our findings with relevant government stakeholders. #newincentives

As the curtains close on the The World Vaccine Congress, we want to express our gratitude to the immunization professionals who came together to learn about how data is the missing ingredient to reaching zero-dose children. From the rich diversity of attendees, three major themes emerged: 1️⃣ Power of Partnership: We witnessed the undeniable strength of collaboration. Vaccinations alone don't save lives; it's their delivery and equitable access that truly make a difference. 2️⃣ Breaking Data and Research Silos: In the face of large-scale challenges like climate change and its impact on health, we need to drive rapid innovation by breaking down siloes between different data and research domains to unlock the insights we need to safeguard our collective future. 3️⃣ Championing Vaccine Equity: We must ensure that no individual or community is left behind in our vaccination efforts. This means boosting manufacturing capabilities and equipping ourselves with enabling research tools to reach everyone, everywhere. Together, we can create a healthier and more resilient world.
