In September, VANDOS Consulting was invited by Vlerick Business School to participate in the 2024 Career Skills Seminars. Our expert recruiters met with bright and talented Master programmes students for one-on-one coaching sessions in the Brussels and Leuven campuses. They conducted mock interviews and provided the students with actionable tips and tricks on how to prepare for and ace their future job applications. We are looking forward to furthering the pleasant collaboration with Vlerick Business School in challenging future leaders to live their dreams, learn continuously and take the leap with confidence. Thank you for the invitation, Veroniek De Schamphelaere and Silke Van Gansbeke. So, how’d we do against our 2024 goals? - “𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” – Several NTM team members attended #IMTS in Chicago this past fall, both Vickie Parks & Barbara Dorumsgaard supported #MNManufactured events (MN HS Skeet Shooting Tournament, MN State Fair Education booth) volunteered at high school STEAM events in both the spring and fall and presented at career fairs at local high schools and technical colleges. We opened our doors for tours during #MNManufacturedMonth - “𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺.” - We welcomed two new additions to the team last year, Abe Escoto in Grinding and Mike Bilbro in the STUBBY dept. Keith Pickett was promoted to NTM General Manager, and we had a productive in-house training session on new grinding equipment with the team from UNITED GRINDING North America Grinding. - “𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.” – The implementation of our Quarterly Breakfast meetings has really had an impact. In addition to company stand up huddles every other Monday, the quarterly meetings have been critical to sharing ideas and challenges across departments, providing increased understanding on how we rely on each other as internal customers here at NTM! Quarterly meetings have given us the chance to hear from every employee in every department on how we can better serve each other and our external customers. -- 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱? As we look ahead, we’re setting new goals to build on this momentum and continue our mission of helping manufacturers succeed. The investments in new equipment, added capacity, and employee development that we made in 2024 will pay off in 2025. Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing more about our plans for the year ahead and how we’ll keep growing, learning, and making an impact together. Here’s to an even better 2025! #2025Goals #ContinuousImprovement #ManufacturingExcellence

Building a brighter future, together! ✨ October was all about connecting with top talent and building a more inclusive workplace. Here's how: - We engaged with over 5,200 potential candidates through virtual career fairs, workplace tours and a government-led job fair, helping connect displaced workers with new opportunities. - One of our talent leaders spoke about workplace ethics to 200 students at a leading university's tech webinar. - We invested in our sourcing leaders by sending them to an inclusive leadership workshop, equipping them with the skills to support people of all backgrounds and abilities. #MicroSourcing #biggerbolderbetter

What’s your counter-intuitive, half-crazy predictions about your field in the next 5 years?🔮 Do you need a PhD to become a sustainability pro?👩🎓 How does one build a career from putting satellites transmitter on the back of a penguin to a Sustainability Director?🐧 It’s such a delight to moderate the panel discussion joined by Alexandra Monson, Emma Wright, Pooja Sharma and Tarin Cummings to explore career opportunities in Environment & Sustainability within a 35,000-people organisation! My biggest takeaways: ✅We may come from diverse backgrounds, and it is our shared passion and purpose that got us here. ✅Whether our role is operationally focused, client facing, or in a group function, people skills can never be overemphasized. ✅You never know what opportunity a random conversation may open up, when it does, take it! A massive thanks to all panelists who generously shared their insights with candor and humour. And a big thumbs up to Alex Cockerton and Esther Starc who champion the first Ventia Virtual Career Fair which this panel discussion is part of. Together, we build connections, capabilities, and careers.🤝 #Connection #Purpose #Leadership

I felt pretty great after participating in a career guidance session organized by Top CV in cooperation with BUV. Through this career orientation session, I learned what employers need when recruiting employees. In addition, I also learned some ways to make CVs that are interesting to employers and some famous companies that are recruiting interns in the field of marketing. Once again, I thank Top CV very much for providing such a useful talk show ! #BUV #TopCV

ROMBA 2024 - Recruiting at ROMBA - 2/7 On Thursday, September 26th, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, I had the opportunity to attend the Recruiting at ROMBA session. It was inspiring to hear from industry leaders like Whitney Brantley, MBA, Skylar Buffington, Shaka Farr , and Taylor Phoumivong, M.S. Ed Phoummying. Here are a few key takeaways from their insights: Whitney Brantley - American Express - Etiquette matters! Continue checking on people, and create a memorable experience. - "Delayed doesn’t mean denied" – a reminder to stay persistent and patient. Skylar Buffington - Walmart - Career fairs aren’t just about careers; it's about taking a moment to connect. - "There’s always an opportunity to lead each other in the right direction." Shaka Farr - Wells Fargo - Remember your words and follow up! - Know your value so that you can help others effectively. Taylor Phoummying - JPMorganChase Morgan - Be mindful in conversations and always follow up. - "Life is sometimes the graceful implementation of Plan B." Their words left me reflecting on how vital meaningful connections and leadership are. Looking forward to applying these lessons in both personal and professional growth. #ROMBA2024 #Networking #Leadership #CareerGrowth #FinanceJourney #MBA
