Interesting discussion today at the #EUClusterTalks "Leading the Twin Transformation: Advanced Materials as a Key Enablement Technology" on the challenges to accelerate European industrial leadership in advanced materials After an insightful presentation by Sofie Nørager and Philipp Runge on the Advanced Materials for EU Industrial leadership, I had the chance to discuss POLYMERIS actions and projects with two other panelists Eva Milella from IMAST scarl and Magdalena Cholewińska-Falarz from NANONET Foundation. The main outcomes of the discussion were : - the importance of Safe and Sustainable materials and their manufacturing technologies to accelerate the twin transition. - Digital integration: new ways of collecting, managing and analyzing data from different sources (using AI, deep and machine learning, digital twins) can give a strong boost to the design and production of materials with better properties and performances. - Integration of stakeholders across industries and the multidisciplinary materials supply chain On this topic, and with their continuous support for innovation and networking, cluster play a key role to support European industries in overcoming the challenges of advanced materials !
