Couldn't ask for better company to share a massive Emirati seafood feast in Aweer than our VIP Pass members, some of whom even rolled down from Abu Dhabi! These are the familiar faces I get the pleasure of seeing again and again. It's intentional. We spend a lot of time thinking about how to bring people back. About 40% of our guests are locals or their visiting buddies. Loyalty programs aren’t really common with tour operators—or maybe I'm just not aware of them. Most are banking on a steady flow of new visitors to a city. It seems like a lost opportunity, especially in Dubai where the population is majority expatriate. Many are eager to find ways of exploring their new home. Many more get visitors throughout the year who they need to 'offload' to someone trusted to show them around. If you treat them right, there's a pretty high chance they'll return. Curious to hear your thoughts. Have you come across tour operators with loyalty programs in Dubai? Or best-in-class ones abroad? Always hungry to learn what more we can do. #visitdubai #loyaltyprograms #dubaitourism

We, the founders of Ghumau Kya, will soon visit a place that excites us and provides precisely what a travel consultant desires: exposure. However, if you're assuming that I might be thrilled about a vacation as a travel consultant, you are mistaken. The place that has us buzzing with excitement is none other than the ATM—not the cash-dispensing machine, but the Arabian Travel Market. It's the premier B2B travel exhibition drawing industry professionals from around the globe. This event opens up endless possibilities for individuals to connect over their shared passion for travel and aid each other in exploring the world more profoundly. It's a platform where leisure seamlessly merges with business, MICE, and luxury travel, attracting global leaders who come to experience the future firsthand. The ATM is scheduled to take place from May 6th to May 11th in Dubai, a city that, in itself, is a haven for travelers enamored with man-made beauty! If you're part of the travel industry, then this exhibition is a must-visit. It not only provides opportunities to connect with industry experts but also opens up endless possibilities of the world. #ATMDubai #ATM #ArabianTravelMarket

“Wynn Resorts Secures UAE’s First Gambling License!”(Reuters) The granting of the first gambling license in the UAE to Wynn Resorts has the potential to have a substantial positive impact on the UAE economy, particularly in Ras Al Khaimah. The establishment of an integrated resort and casino is expected to draw a significant number of international tourists, thus diversifying the economy away from its reliance on oil and strengthening the tourism sector. This project has the capacity to generate a large number of employment opportunities, attract foreign investment, and position Ras Al Khaimah as a formidable global tourism destination, leading to an increased influx of high-net-worth visitors from Europe, Asia, and the Gulf region. #UAEEconomicGrowth #RasAlKhaimahTourism #WynnResortsUAE #GamingIndustryUAE #UAEInvestment #TourismBoost #MiddleEastBusiness #UAEVision2027

Qatar’s tourism and retail sectors are poised for continued growth, with a projected 5% increase in tourism next year, driven by the legacy of FIFA 2022 and a rise in local and international events. GCC tourists accounted for 44% of total visitors in 2024, marking a 43% YoY increase. The hospitality sector is thriving, with demand for accommodations boosted by cooler weather. New retail developments, including Velero Mall and Crystal Walkway, are attracting both tourists and investors. International brands such as Tesla, Alo Yoga, and Raising Cane’s have expanded into the market, strengthening Qatar’s retail landscape. Despite challenges like reduced investor confidence and rising interest rates, the retail and residential sectors are showing resilience, with increasing occupancy levels and signs of stabilization. The tourism sector is also on track to reach 4.2 million visitors by the end of 2024. #QatarTourism #RetailGrowth #FIFA2022Legacy #QatarRealEstate #TourismGrowth #RetailExpansion #QatarInvestment #EconomicGrowth #QatarDevelopment #MiddleEastBusiness

Day 1 at the Arabian Travel Market! In this 31st edition of ATM 2,300 exhibitors from 165 countries are featured, with 41,000 visitors expected to attend. It felt (slightly) bigger than last year, with large (and better managed!) crowds of people, but also an impressive density of high quality professionals. Once again, Saudi probably has the largest stand, as it includes different regions of the country and features its giga-projects. Both Dubai and Abu Dhabi also seemed to have increased the size of their respective stands. Lots of interesting announcements, some entirely new, like the 5.2M visitors Dubai received in Q1 2024, marking an 11% increase year-on-year, or some resurfacing news, like Abu Dhabi's tourism strategy with intentions to grow to 39M visitors annually by 2030 or the GCC Grand Tour, a unified tourism visa for GCC residents that will make traveling the GCC more convenient and affordable. As I interacted with fellow industry professionals and listened to some of the seminars in either the Global Stage or the Future Stage I noticed an unwavering optimism for the longer term of the region, even if there are some clouds in the short term due to perceived risks with significant downward potential. The general sentiment was certainly still positive. Looking forward to see what Day 2 brings! #arabiantravelmarket #atm #mydubai #tourism #sauditourism #dct

In an interview with Economy Middle East, at ATM Dubai 2024, Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, group CEO of Miral, discussed recent developments on Yas Island and Saadiyat Island. Highlighting 2023 as Yas Island's strongest year yet, Al Zaabi pointed to the impressive 34 million visits, reflecting a significant 38% increase compared to 2022. Notably, even the summer season thrived, with June, July, and August being the busiest months, boasting hotel occupancy rates exceeding 83%. Al Zaabi credited this success to Yas Island's well-defined vision and comprehensive master plan. The strategic alignment of theme parks and hotels, along with bundled visitor packages, proved to be a winning formula. Furthermore, Al Zaabi hinted at the arrival of flying taxis, emphasizing Miral's commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology, ultimately aiming to provide seamless and unforgettable experiences for visitors.
