𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 #𝟮: 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 ✊ In the context of social entrepreneurship, 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is more than just a buzzword. It’s about giving individuals, especially young people and women, the tools, confidence, and opportunities to create meaningful change in their communities. Empowerment means believing that you have the ability to make a difference, no matter how big or small. 🚀 In Tunisia, we see this through the lens of youth-led projects, like those championed by Enactus Tunisia students, who are driving economic empowerment in their regions. They’re not just waiting for change—they’re creating it. 🌍 Let’s take today to reflect on how we can empower ourselves and others to push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and build a better future. 💪 #Empowerment #YouthLeadership #SocialImpact #EnactusTunisia #SocialEntrepreneurship #Changemakers #WordOfTheDay

🌍✨ Proud to have participated in the 6th Edition of the ASEW (African Social Enterprise Workshop)African Social Enterprise Workshop (ASEW) Over two insightful days, I had the privilege of attending this insightful summit, which focused on resourcing impact, exploring opportunities, gaps, and strategies for sustaining impactful initiatives in Africa. The event featured inspiring keynote sessions, engaging panel discussions, and practical masterclasses across various locations, all designed to foster social entrepreneurship across the continent. One of my key takeaways from the summit is to leverage local resources for impact funding to significantly strengthen social enterprises in Africa. This session broadened my understanding of how to access and manage financial structures effectively. Building sustainable business models is key to long-term success in driving social change. I left with actionable strategies to create and scale purpose-driven businesses. Navigating policy landscapes requires collaboration and a deep understanding of local and global challenges. Insights from experts shed light on how to manage resources and policies to maximize social impact. These lessons have given me a clearer perspective on how to harness opportunities and overcome challenges in the social enterprise space, inspiring me to drive sustainable change through entrepreneurship. A big thank you to the keynote speakers and facilitators like: Itoto Echakara Jonas Yawovi Dzinekou Dr. Nataliey Bitature Willem Gous Willem Gous for their invaluable insights and to my fellow participants for the shared knowledge and inspiration. A glimpse into the look and feel of the Youth Day event. The day boasts a plethora of educational and fun activities. Learners, with the aid of their mentors are confronted with problem scenarios to which they must think of sustainable solutions in order to solve. One of the problems South Africa faces in its SDG implementation, is Unemployment. Statistics show that the unemployment rate has increased from 30.0% in 2008 to 48.2% in 2021. Although this is not a problem the learners might have to solve on the day, they will be given their own scenarios and must apply YAT's SDG Social Entrepreneurship framework in order to solve the problems in the scenarios. 📢 I am delighted that our volume “Indigenous Entrepreneurship in Sub-Saharan Africa: Implications for Theory and Practice” is now available online and in print (👉Link: https://lnkd.in/eDPQMNCt). It is part of the book series “Palgrave Studies in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and #Indigenization in #Business”. 😀 The volume contains 16 chapters, nicely crafted by more than 30 passionate researchers from Europe, North America, Asia, and many African countries (e.g., Ethiopia, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia, to name but a few). Each chapter provides meaningful insights into localized views💡 of entrepreneurial activities in Sub-Saharan Africa🌍 – a context that remains often overlooked, despite being home to approximately 1.2 billion people. Regarding the UN #SDGs, the chapters examine how indigenous entrepreneurship relates to #EndingPoverty, creating #DecentWork and #EconomicGrowth, #ReducingInequalities, contributing to #SustainableCities and #Communities, and promoting #PeaceAndJustice, and #StrongInstitutions. I am deeply grateful to my team of co-editors Leo Paul Dana, Dr Henrietta Onwuegbuzie, and my friend Emiel E., who were amazing during this journey.🙏 SDK - Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung a. G.: Thank you for allowing me to pursue my goals for #sustainable #impact in various ways.🌱 #indigenous #entrepreneurship #socialbusiness #Africa
