💫 Empowering Tomorrow: Youth Leading the Change! 💫 This week, Every Future Foundation had the honour of collaborating with the vibrant students of New Marston Primary School for a truly transformative experience. Through our Anti-Racism Assembly & Student Workshops, we worked together to confront racism head-on and build tools to challenge it at every turn. Why does this matter? Because education is the seed of change, and these students are the roots of a future grounded in racial justice and equity. 🌱✨ Led by our inspiring facilitator Bilal Harry Khan, the sessions went beyond awareness—they were about empowerment. These young minds explored what it means to recognise bias, stand up against injustice, and lead with compassion and courage. At Every Future Foundation, we believe that real change starts early. By fostering leadership and a commitment to equality in today’s youth, we’re building a generation that will challenge norms, dismantle barriers, and create a truly inclusive world. 🌍 💡 The next generation is not just our future—they’re our hope. Together, let’s continue to support their journey toward making equality and justice the foundation of our society. We are grateful to New Marston Primary for embracing this vision and for joining us in this critical mission. Let’s keep the momentum going! #YouthLeadership #AntiRacismEducation #BuildingBridges #RacialJustice #EveryFutureFoundation #Changemakers #EqualityForAll

#ServiceAboveAllElse #DEIBconference #CCRE I have always believed that people are good people and they can be the best human beings and not human creatures if they open both their hearts and minds to engage and understand each other. No one can wear the shoe of an another but we can be present in the moment to respect, value and cherish all who bring something to the table provided that we remain authentic to our own being. Throughout my life, I have aimed for milestones and goals so high that people would tell me to "reach for the stars". What learning from everyone around me has taught me is that I do not want to reach for the stars - I rather want to be part of the most awesome galaxy of stars - each one shining brightly and the brilliance of shine of belonging! With that, I have been part of Steering Committee of Carroll Citizens for Racial Equity (CCRE) for quite a few years. While we know that Carroll County in Maryland has a long way to go for a complete assurance of everyone knowing and believing that they belong, this grassroots organization is slowly and surely moving and inching towards the aura of galaxy of stars. Both as a citizen of Carroll County, a Steering Committee member of CCRE and a faculty of Carroll Community College, I am so pleased that we will offer our annual Conference this Friday, April 26th at Carroll Community College. It is an annual Conference that required months of planning and to see it coming to fruition yet again this year makes me believe in the "being" of the human being. Gov. Wes Moore and Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller administration stands on the principle of leaving no one behind. Truly how can we leave anyone behind when all must belong? I have witnessed that first hand that we all must pull everyone together as part of my work working and observing the fine colleagues at Maryland Governor's Office of Community Initiatives (GOCI). #CarrollCountyMD #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #Belonging #Justice #ConferenceForAll

🌍 Understanding Our History: A Key to Empowering Our Youth 🌍 Did you know that understanding our cultural history and identity is essential for shaping the future of our youth and building stronger communities? When we teach our young people about their rich heritage, they gain more than just knowledge—they gain a sense of pride, belonging, and purpose. ✊🏾✨ 3 Ways Understanding Our History Strengthens Communities: 1️⃣ Fosters a Strong Sense of Identity: Knowing where we come from helps our youth understand who they are, fostering confidence and resilience. 2️⃣ Builds Cultural Pride: Celebrating our history and achievements instills pride and inspires youth to uphold and contribute to their community’s legacy. 3️⃣ Empowers Future Leaders: With a deep understanding of their roots, young people are more likely to step up as leaders, advocating for justice, equality, and positive change. Let’s continue to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation. Together, we can create a future rooted in knowledge, pride, and unity. 🌱 🔗 Learn more about our programs and how we're making a difference at www.therootsinitiative.org #ActivateTheRoots #YouthEmpowerment #CulturalIdentity #CommunityStrength #EducationMatters #BlackExcellence #RootsInitiative #LeadershipDevelopment

With each step, we reject oppressive hierarchies and colonialist ideologies, staying true to our commitment to inclusion, collaboration, and growth. “Through advocacy, education, inclusive partnerships, and alliances, we will work to dismantle systems of oppression and support positive steps toward social justice, equity, and meaningful impact,” says Nadia Humayun, Director, CFTC’s Board of Directors.
