We put energy⚡ behind everything we do! Meet new hire Jacob Noah, our Tool Cage Supervisor at our Generator Division with his thoughts on MD&A: Q: Why did you choose to work for MD&A? A: I was looking for something close to home in a field that was secure and provided me the time outside of work to enjoy time with my family. I like the hours and being home in the afternoons to have dinner with my wife. Also, working in a secure field and growing company was important to me and I felt that MD&A fit that perfectly. Q: What was the organization like when you joined? A: The organization when I joined is very similar to what it is now. You notice and appreciate the effort being put forth by leadership to foster change and accomplish goals. The longer I am here the more I am learning about the dynamics and culture of what leadership is trying to build here. Q: What aspect do you enjoy most about your role? A: I really enjoy being able to take an area that needed improvement and make it my own. Taking ownership and pride in an aspect of the business that has been a problem in the past is my favorite part of the role. Explore A Career with a Powerful Purpose! At MD&A, We truly work together, as one team! We collaborate, we listen, we innovate. Interested in joining our team? We love a site visit. 👌 Out on the road today with Amy Perks. People ask me what I love about my job.. and it’s this. Going out seeing clients and meeting them in person. (Not keen on the hair net mind) It gives you an insight on what our engineers actually do and how hard they actually work. Without them there would be numerous issues arise .. 🔧 Production would be down which results in profit loss. 🔧 Unhappy end suppliers 🔧 More obstacles to overcome They are absolutely legends in other words 👌 If you would like to Krispy Kreme donuts or to chat engineering, then contact me or at Amy Perks today and get a site visit booked! #maintechrecruitment #maintenanceengineering

Another great party in LA! Thanks for the invite Toll Group! While it feels like TPM was months ago, it seems strange that it was actually just a few weeks. We're still working on a number of opportunities in sales and management for those clients we met both at the event and during our office visits during the rest of the week. 90% of our clients want to interview able, stable, and profitable sales candidates who don't feel satisfied where they're currently working. We have a forwarders of all sizes offering various salary and commission plans, vertical focuses, territory sizes, and everything else that matters to most salespeople. Not actively looking but curious to know if the grass may be greener? We'll happily talk about which of our clients match your priorities and 5/10 year plan. Don't have a rough plan for the future? It's worth considering building one, otherwise what are you working towards? #freightappointments #freightforwarding #staffing #recruitment #executivesearch

In 2014, I got stuck in a stretch limo with our new CEO, in Texas. It was the first time that I'd ever chatted with someone at C-Level (other than my mother) 😬 And initially -- I was terrified. Here I was, a 20-something newbie at a startup sliding in the back of a stretch limo next to a big-time, Netherlands-hailing gentleman CEO who'd be calling the shots for our company. What could I possibly say? He felt so much BIGGER than me. *loosens collar* Then, I realized why we were both there. We both missed the bus to the restaurant with the sales team. We were both *LATE* Suddenly, a corny "why we're late" Dad-joke flew out of my mouth before I could stop it -- or my awkward laughter that followed. And my heart stopped. Sweating in my WHBM pants suit. In a limo with steer horns on the front. (Seriously Texas -- your decor! 😆) And after an eternity ... I felt utter relief when he laughed, too. And to my delight, I realized the truth. He wasn't BIGGER than I was...and he was incredibly NICE. ...and he didn't mind my natural corny joke tendencies one bit. So we hopped in the limo shuttle and laughed and chatted about our blunder all the way to the restaurant. This may have been the first time that I realized that in every 👉 Level 👉 Market 👉 Industry People are people. And you know what? People still want to work with people they like. __________ __________ When you're nervous, just be yourself. The OR The Interview The Salary Negotiation The National Sales Meeting All of those high-stakes scenarios are still filled with people. Don't worry so much about pleasing or saying the right thing. Just be yourself and get the reps in. Your authenticity will attract the people you're meant to. (And if you're stuck -- have a corny joke ready to ease that tension) Happy Friday, all! __________ __________ #resumewriters #medicaldevicesales #medicalsalescareercoach #medtechjobs

Wondering how to conduct a "Walk the Floor" successfully? Here are a few steps to help you out: ◾️ Do the walks every day at the same time together with other managers (production, shipping, purchasing, etc) ◾️ Ensure that all absentees appoint a representative ◾️ Centre each stop around different production boards, like purchasing or scheduling ◾️ Assign any stop that takes more than three seconds to a responsible person. They should call a meeting and review the challenge ◾️ Give equal opportunity for discussions ◾️ Assign a timekeeper See more here: https://bit.ly/3xs7zce #WalkTheFloorSteps #ProductionBoards #WalkTheFloorProcess

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤:- Inspections: 6 (Pharmacy, 2x churches, Pub with resi uppers, 2x residential) Reports Completed & Sent: 2 Meetings: 3 Morale: High (C'mon!) Weeks left: 4 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒈-𝑻𝒆𝒓𝒎 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒈-𝑻𝒆𝒓𝒎 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 It is important to build a team with colleagues who know what they do and don’t complain. If your colleagues have to be led around by the nose or you question their judgment, it’s not going to work out. 𝐖𝐡𝐲? Imagine working with someone who consumes 10% of your time to resolve issues - you can only afford to have 10 such individuals on your team. However, if someone only takes up 5% of your time, you could potentially have 20 team members like that. As simple as that. The most effective teams consist of people who proactively solve problems without needing constant direction. They don’t even necessarily have to update you every step of the way and they come up with solutions. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭? Over the past couple of weeks, I shared posts regarding the strong performance of my department. However, without expanding the team, there is a limit to how much we can grow. Feel free to reach out if you have any recommendations. The most challenging time to hire is when you are already busy, but the upcoming months are expected to bring even greater demands. By failing to prepare, you are preparing to...?

I saw this post from my good friend and colleague Brett Frevert from CFO Systems, LLC. It personifies our attitude here at AcceleratingCFO as well as we don't want to be the type of finance leaders that tell you what you should be doing without teaching and implementing it as well. As the saying goes, we teach #entrepreneurs how to fish for cash flow!
