We are pleased to share that on April 30th, the presentation of Product 4 took place! This report covers the progress of the Roadmap proposals, including the identification and compilation of climatic data, as well as the development of tools to identify risk factors.   The objective is clear: to prioritize and plan, in the short, medium, and long term, the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in Fisheries and Aquaculture.   This effort is part of the Technical Assistance Consultancy for the Territorial Articulation of Adaptation Measures in Artisanal Fishing and Aquaculture with the Regional Directorates of Production in Peru, within the framework of project PAF23-T1-15: The support in the implementation of the National Adaptation Plan. 📢 The Cook Government has announced the first sublicenses for the second stage of the Albany Aquaculture Development Zone to boost #shellfish #production along the south coast. 💰 These kinds of #aquaculture development zones, identified along the south coast of Western #Australia, have received $1.3 million in government funds that include #environmental approvals and management frameworks already in place. 🗣 Fisheries Minister Don Punch: "The Albany Aquaculture Development Zone, built on Albany's long history of shellfish aquaculture and premium #seafood production, and the latest development will further boost local opportunity going forward." https://lnkd.in/dRR5GCNP

The eleven Advisory Councils, stakeholder bodies established under Article 43 of the Common Fisheries Policy Regulation to advise European Commission & Member States, sent a letter to congratulate Commissioner-designate Costas Kadis on his recent parliamentary approval as Commissioner for #Fisheries and #Oceans. The Advisory Councils, while highlighting many common priorities, express availability to provide advice, covering all EU sea basins, external waters, aquaculture production, and the supply chain down to the final consumer, and to assist the new Commissioner in the implementation of his mission. The Advisory Councils also express willingness to assist in various upcoming initiatives, such as European Oceans Pact, the Fisheries and Oceans Dialogues, and the 2040 Vision for Fisheries and #Aquaculture and their markets.
