As we reflect on #WomensHistoryMonth it's crucial to think about what #Inclusion truly means in our everyday lives, extending our focus far beyond the month of March. 👉 When we notice the absence of women, we need to ask why! 👉 Why invisible barriers still exist and what we can do to dismantle them? 👉 In the face of biased behaviour, we must speak up and stand up for what's right. 👉 Fair treatment isn't negotiable. It's within our accountability to advocate for inclusion of everyone. So, what does practicing inclusion mean in our daily interactions? How can we spark conversations at work that challenge unfair stereotypes and biases and proactively build more inclusive environment? Last week at wefox we discussed strategies for initiating discussions in the workplace that confront unjust stereotypes and biases during a global workshop. Initiating change begins with each of us. We can set the tone, create a safe space for dialogue, actively listen and stay curious! And what can we do today? Reflect on one actionable step to take the next time we encounter biased behaviour. Negative stereotypes lead us into a downward spiral of doubt and anxiety. As stereotypes can impact the performance of women, men, older employees, and others, it is important to address them. In her powerful words, Tania Sachdeva reminds us that the pressure of negative stereotypes can make us second-guess our abilities. Internalizing biases like the belief that older employees can’t adapt to technology or that women aren’t good at math can shatter our confidence and impact our performance. At Breaking Boundaries, we believe awareness is key! By recognizing these threats and fostering open conversations, we can dismantle harmful assumptions and create inclusive environments where everyone thrives. Empowering Women, Empowering Humanity Yesterday, at a workshop aimed at strategizing empowerment and igniting possibilities I had the privilege of speaking to a group of young men and women about the importance of creating safe and healthy working spaces and environments for women. It's a topic that's close to my heart, and I believe it's crucial for our collective progress. We cannot afford to leave behind half of our population! Women are the backbone of our society, and it's time we recognize their value and worth. A man may build a house, but a woman makes a home - and that's exactly what we need more of in our workplaces and communities: a sense of belonging, nurturing, and care. By creating inclusive and supportive environments, we can unlock the full potential of women and girls, and in turn, create a more just and prosperous world for all. Let's break down the barriers and biases that hold them back, and instead, offer a helping hand and a listening ear. Together, we can build a future where every individual can thrive, regardless of gender or background. Let's make it happen! #WomenEmpowerment #SafeSpaces #Inclusion #Equality

Women represent just 42% of the professional services industry's workforce, with only 32% in leadership positions. But change is happening! As we come to the close of this March, we take a moment to reflect on our International Women’s Day theme ‘Inspire Inclusion’, and how we can take this beyond just the day, by investing in diversity and inclusion. Mentorship and sponsorship programs, supported by action are key to creating pathways for growth and empowerment. Happy International Women's Day! There are many ways to ensure the needs, interests and aspirations of women and girls are valued and included through action like: 🏦 forging women's economic empowerment 🎓recruiting, retaining and developing diverse talent 👩🏾🚀supporting women and girls into leadership, decision-making, business and STEM 🫀helping women and girls make informed decisions about their health 🥗involving women and girls in sustainable agriculture and food security ⛹🏼♀️elevating women and girl's participation and achievement in sport To truly include women means to openly embrace their diversity of race, age, ability, faith, body image, and how they identify. And when women aren't present, we must ask: "If not, why not?" ❗️When women are discriminated against, we must call out poor practice. ❗️When the treatment of women is not equitable, we must take action. ❗️And we must do this each time, every time. Collectively, let's forge a more inclusive world for all! #iwd2024 #InspireInclusion

Day 1 of CSW68 marks the beginning of a pivotal global dialogue where we, together with governments, civil society, the private sector, and UN Women UK, unite to champion #GenderEquality and empower all women and girls. As delegates of this year's conference, we at Wonderfully Made Woman are here to shine a light on the critical link between women's poverty and gender disparities in decision-making, especially in the digital and technology sectors. Addressing women's poverty is not just about economic empowerment; it's about dismantling barriers to equal access, leadership, and participation in all areas of life. Let's invest in women, harness digital opportunities for sustainable development, and create a shared digital future where women's voices are heard, respected, and lead the way. #InvestInWomen #CSW68 #GenderEquality #DigitalInclusion

A society that is truly thriving is one built on equality, where women and girls are not just present, but also empowered to be agents of change. This is why investing in their full potential is one of the smartest moves a forward-thinking society can make. When women are empowered, they can contribute fully to society on every level, leading with brilliance and resilient strength, innovating for a better future, and facilitating sustainable development. The benefits ripple outwards, far beyond individual success. It is a win for all of us. So, here is a question I would like to put out there - What are some ways that we, as individuals and communities, can break down more barriers and truly encourage more inclusion for women? Please share your thoughts in the comments below. #OreoluwaFinnih #SDG5 #GenderEquality #BreakTheBias #SustainableDevelopment #EqualRepresentation
