Welthungerhilfe Iraq’s Post

💧As access to drinking #water remains as one of our primary sectors of focus in Iraq, In Salah Al-Din, Welthungerhilfe is #rehabilitating several water stations, including the Banat Al-Hassan water station in Tikrit. 🚰 Thanks to the hard work of Cash-for-Work participants from the Samarra community, this initiative will benefit 200 households, ensuring better access to a #reliable source of drinking water. 🚰Our team, in coordination with the Salah Al-Din Directorate of Water, conducted technical assessments on four water stations in Samarra. The focus was on identifying and addressing damages in mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, filters, sedimentation tanks, and other critical areas. 💧Throughout the ongoing rehabilitation, Cash-for-Work participants are painting filters and tanks, gardening, and cleaning the station sites. These #WASH initiatives are part of the Strengthening Food Security for Women and Vulnerable IDPs, Returnees, Refugees, and Host Communities in Ninewa and Salah Al-Din project, funded by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) 🌱 Together, we’re building stronger, #healthier communities with #access to cleaning water 💧🚰 #CleanWater #CommunityResilience #CashForWork #WASH #FoodSecurity #welthungerhilfe #Iraq #SalahAlDin
