🧬 Decoding Aerobic Capacity Understanding how genetic factors influence aerobic capacity (VO2max) can revolutionize athlete health and performance management. This knowledge allows professionals to tailor strategies for optimal training and development. Here’s a glimpse into how genetics play a crucial role: - Adrenaline Response: 🌟 Imagine a sprinter who thrives under intense pressure. Their ability to excel may be linked to how their body handles adrenaline, a trait influenced by their ADRB2 gene. - Endurance Fibers: 🏃♂️ Picture a marathon runner who consistently performs at their best over long distances. This endurance can be attributed to genetic factors that enhance slow-twitch muscle fibers, similar to those regulated by PPARGC1A. - Oxygen Adaptation: 🏔️ Visualize a high-altitude climber who excels despite low oxygen levels. Their exceptional performance may be linked to their HIF1A gene, which helps adapt to challenging environments. These examples highlight the importance of genetics in sports performance. Now, imagine having insights into: - Why some athletes experience fatigue earlier than others. 🏋️♂️ - How top endurance cyclists maintain high stamina levels. 🚴♀️ - What enables swimmers and triathletes to boost their endurance significantly. 🏊♂️ - How effectively the body regulates iron, essential for oxygen transport and overall performance. 🩸 The Fagron Sport Test provides comprehensive insights into these genetic factors, helping professionals dedicated to athlete health and performance develop precise training strategies, improve recovery protocols, and optimize overall athletic outcomes. Death Valley Ride in ABC 10News San Diego! Thank you for the interview, Ciara Encinas, so that the endeavor of the cyclists from different countries can be heard. If you wish to support our cyclist team, please donate through this link https://lnkd.in/efGWzVji It requires joined forces of people from different backgrounds to tackle the global health crisis of rare diseases, and our friends working in the news media industry are also playing a crucial role here. Many patients with rare diseases are “invisible” to the public because they are trapped in their homes due to the reduced mobility. Letting people to hear their voices and the challenging is the first step. Currently there are more than 11,000 distinct types of rare genetic diseases, affecting 20 million people in the US and 400 million globally (10% of the population). Among these patients, 50% of them are children, and many of them won’t live to see their 5th birthday. Ninety five percent (95%) of rare diseases lack an FDA approved treatment. The traditional way of developing drug is simply impossible to find the cure for all these diseases. There is an urgent need for an innovative approach to accelerate the process. iXCells is honored to be involved in this paradigm-shifting movement as the partner to develop the patient-specific models for personalized medicine.
iXCells Biotechnologies isn't just sponsoring the #DeathValleyRide; we're at the heart of the fight against ALS. From innovative cell models to drug discovery, we're committed to ending ALS and we are proud to ride alongside Jaime Lafita Bernar, dalecandELA org and the ALS Network, sharing a unified vision to defeat ALS. Under Dr. Nianwei Lin's leadership, we're partners in progress, championing the advancement of ALS research and patient support. Together, we're determined to lift ALS from the depths of underfunding to the forefront of scientific breakthroughs. 💼🔬 A massive thanks to dalecandELA org and the ALS Network team for partnering with us and allowing us to be part of this historical journey. #DeathValleyRide, #EnduretoCure, #ALS, #ELA, #ALSNetwork, #dalecandELA, #NeverGiveUp #dalecandELA #PedaleaconJaime #DeathValleyChallenge #DeathValley #ValledelaMuerte #RideWithMe #juntoscontralaELA #ELA #ALS #LeyELA #EndALS
