This #CommunityRailWeek, we need your help to get us on track! 🚂 Our Futures Learners have an impressive model rail layout, however it is looking rather bare. They would like to craft their very own train scenes but we’re missing some essential pieces to bring it all together... We are in need of: • Any OO gauge locomotives (steam/electric/diesel) and carriages/trucks/wagons • Flat panels of MDF or Plywood to make other layouts over time, and for the learners to make mini dioramas to add the layout (modular rather than fixed). • Model buildings/shops/a railway pub • Model people • Model trees/plants/flowers • Model farmyard animals such as cows for the surrounding fields like we have between Christchurch Station and Hinton Admiral • Tiny lights for the platform If you have any of these items available for donation, please reach out to us at futures@autism-unlimited.org or drop a comment below! #MoreThanARailway #CommunityRailway #Community #Donations #GivingBack Image descriptions: Two Futures Learners showing their model railway layout, with text that reads: "We need your help..."

The Common Ground Alliance (CGA), is a national non-profit trade association dedicated to protecting underground utility lines, excavators, and their communities. The recent DIRT REPORT has shown that damages have been increasing year over year. These trends are disturbing for our industry, and I believe that this number is actually low. We have received countless calls “after the fact” from excavators. They always go like this: “We hit a utility line. Can you send a locator? At Frontier, we understand the importance of getting utility locates completed before your project starts. An initial call to Ontario One Call will inform all participating Utility Service Providers of your intention to dig. This will take care of your Public Locates. A second call to a Private Locate company, like Frontier, will get your private locates completed. Voilà! Once you have reports in your hands, you are ready to go and most importantly, you will be SAFE! CALL BEFORE YOU DIG. #damageprevention #callbeforeyoudig #undergroundutilities #callfrontier #frontierutilitylocating #frontierlocating #getyourlocatesdone #utilitylocating #whatisinyourbackyard #safetyfirst #utilitymapping #privatelocates #privatelocator

The reposted post contains an initiative from the members of SDGs CDS group of Ethiope-East LGA, Delta state under the umbrella of National Youth Service Corps. This initiative is aimed contributing to the collective efforts by organizations such as United Nations SDGIA ORG Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability (CCES) SDGs Consortium UNESCO Ministry of Food and Agriculture UN SDSN Youth - Nigeria towards climate change and land on life which happens to be Goals 13 and 15 of the SDGs goals. This initiative championed by a team 5 corp member which I lead, flagged off the Tree planting operation with a target of 20 trees as at last week 4-04-2024. However due to financial constraints we've not been able to achieve the set Goal. In response to this development, we seek free will donations from well meaning individuals and organizations whose mission aligns with this initiative of ours.
🙏🏾Save the Planet 😫 You'd agree that the heat felt from the sun and the heat felt in our homes has become quite unbearable and one amongst many other reasons *why this is happening is the cutting down of trees for firewood due to high cost of gas and electricity bills.* And this is what is responsible for the wearing away of the layer that shields us from the intensity of this sun. What exactly can be done? The aforementioned group wishes to request that you partner with us by donating into this account 👇🏾. 1810978581 Access bank Ezechukwu sopuluchukwu Chisom

What's better than a bike ride in the glorious [citation needed] British summer? 🚲 This #TuesdayaboutTown we're visiting Bicycle Links CIC – a brilliant bike shop over in Norwich! As well as selling all manner of bikes, services, and spare parts, they also specialise in the recycling and refurbishment of secondhand cycles 🔧 Even better, they go out of their way to give back to the community – providing discounts to job-seekers through the Greater Anglia CycleLink scheme and donating bikes to refugees and to kids from low income families, via Welcome Wheels and Free Bikes for Kids, respectively 💸 Ok, that's probably better than just a solo ride in the June rain... because now the whole community can come with you! ☔ #resilienceweb #communityresilience #norwichresilienceweb #norwich #norfolk #bicycles #transport #zerocarbon #netzero #publictransport #cycling #bikes #cycles #secondhand #circulareconomy #climate #climatejustice #socialjustice #climatecrisis #costofliving #costoflivingcrisis #refugees #reuserepairecycle

Our project has already supported more than 650 community organisations with over £1.2 million of funding. We have provided funding to sporting clubs, charities, community groups, schools, play groups and youth clubs. Our mine will create 350 direct employment opportunities and a further 650 indirect and induced jobs. We will provide employees with a good salary and opportunities to further develop their career paths with an initial £15 million training package. We have already been accredited to the Gold Investors in People standard, which demonstrates our continuous commitment to developing our employees. We will deliver our plans whilst respecting and supporting the environment and local ecology. We have carried out substantial research and monitoring in the local area and our planners have designed a high-tech underground mine using the latest best-practice techniques. #Community #ModernMining #DalradianOpportunities #People #Funding #JobCreation

This explains the new concrete pad!
The Village of Plain City recently began construction on the Heritage Trail Trailhead Project. Located on OH-161, just south of Darby Station, this project will include a parking area, hiking trail loop, and a shelter house. This amenity will allow residents and visitors to enjoy the Big Darby Creek through a 25-acre parcel donated to the Village by M/I Homes in 2023. Extending the Heritage Trail from its current terminus just east of Plain City remains a priority for our community, and we’re proud that this project will help further that mission.

There will be 306 affordable co-op units, 306 non-profit market co-op units, and 307 condos. **Case Study: Creative Solutions for Property Challenges in Saint John, NB** My husband and I bought a five-plex in Uptown Saint John in 2010. Facing persistent tenant issues, we boarded it up two years ago, awaiting market improvement. Recently, the city flagged our building for foundational damage, requiring full demolition under current legislation. Thanks to our network, we connected with Brent Harris of Vacant2Vibrant. This non-profit will rent from us for 15 years with an option to purchase, leveraging grants and funds to repair the building and create affordable homes for families in Saint John. This experience underscores the importance of persistence, networking, and creative problem-solving in real estate. It’s a model for how affordable housing can be developed in other communities. #RealEstate #AffordableHousing #Networking #ProblemSolving #SaintJohn
