The last few months of design consulting have been wild, to say the least. Projects cancelled, chasing unpaid invoices, budgets cut and funding withdrawn. Not an ideal lead up to the last quarter. Still, not one to be phased by a little economic instability and true to the ethos behind RiotStudio of 'Innovate or Die', I've pushed on. I've had inspiring conversations with peers in design leadership, innovators, technologists and innovators here in the UK, Europe and the US, delved deep in the world of adult play & technology through research and workshop sessions, developed innovative ideas for the worlds of Femtech, Homewares and Health & Beauty, inadvertently started a toy business (more to come soon), and been a sounding board to others who, like me are experiencing the wild ride of design business.
