1 in 4 men over 30 experience low testosterone (low-T). Yet, of those living with Testosterone Deficiency, only ~5% seek or receive treatment. For those that do, the treatment isn’t always medically sound. This often-overlooked condition can significantly impact a man's physical and mental health, as well as his productivity and job performance. In fact, 51% of men report deterioration in work performance due to Low-T. Low-T can affect: 🧠 Brain function: Impacting memory, focus, and mood. ❤️ Cardiovascular health: Increasing the risk of heart disease and stroke. 💪 Muscle mass and bone density: Leading to weakness and increased risk of fractures. Despite the significant benefits of testosterone therapy, outdated regulations continue to hinder access. Fortunately, recent studies like the Traverse trial have challenged these misconceptions and highlighted the safety and efficacy of treatment. WIN is committed to supporting men's health through our WINHealth and WIN PowerPause solutions. Our comprehensive solutions help men seeking guidance, information, and treatment for age-related testosterone decline, Testosterone Deficiency, and their associated symptoms. The goal? Some new insights into #dementia risk. Specifically, #A1c and #diabetes are at the center of this finding. One study indicates that maintaining stable hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) over time can help mitigate dementia risk, while another found that a healthy #lifestyle can offset brain aging accelerated by #diabetes. Healthcare professionals often aim to find a balance by setting less strict HbA1c targets to avoid low blood sugar while also keeping an upper limit to prevent high blood sugar and its complications. However, a newer measure — HbA1c time in range (TIR) — which is what this study examined, looks at how stable blood sugar levels are over time within certain ranges. This measure could provide better insights into how blood sugar levels relate to the development of dementia in people with diabetes. Higher HbA1c TIR indicates better blood sugar stability, whereas lower HbA1c time in range reflects more instability in blood sugar levels. This measure might more accurately reflect the link between blood sugar control over time and the risk of developing dementia. Researchers found that patients who maintained a higher percentage time (at least 60% or greater) with A1c levels in their target range had lower risk of #Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Dementia risks were particularly increased when A1c levels were mostly below the target range. This adds more assurance to the importance of stabilizing healthy lifestyle habits as early as possible. https://lnkd.in/eWNvUmqF

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬? 💉 💊 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 is a chronic health condition that affects how the body processes glucose (sugar), the primary source of energy for cells. There are three main types of diabetes: 𝟭. 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝟭 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀: An autoimmune condition where the body's immune system attacks the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. As a result, the body produces little or no insulin, a hormone needed to regulate blood sugar. People with type 1 diabetes need daily insulin injections to manage their blood sugar. 𝟮. 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝟮 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀: Type 2 diabetes happens when your body either doesn’t respond well to insulin or doesn’t make enough of it. This can lead to high blood sugar levels over time, which can mess with your body, particularly your heart, blood vessels, kidneys, eyes, and nerves. It's often linked to being overweight, not moving around enough, and family history. 𝟯. 𝗚𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀: Occurs during pregnancy when hormonal changes affect the body's ability to use insulin effectively. Though gestational diabetes typically goes away after childbirth, women who experience it are at a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes later in life. 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬: ➡ Frequent urination ➡Excessive thirst ➡Extreme hunger ➡Fatigue ➡Blurred vision ➡Slow healing of wounds 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀: Proper management of diabetes involves monitoring blood sugar levels, following a healthy diet, regular physical activity, and, in some cases, taking medication or insulin. If left untreated, diabetes can lead to serious complications like heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and nerve damage.

Check out Dr. Matt Chalmers's article today. Dr Chalmers Path to Pro - Long Covid Long Covid is a serious condition affecting many people, with symptoms ranging from constant fatigue and brain fog to more severe issues like heart strain and vascular complications. The condition impacts the body’s blood vessels, reducing oxygen flow and increasing the risks of heart attacks, strokes, and dementia. Many experience muscle pain similar to fibromyalgia, along with chronic fatigue and worsening memory or energy levels. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which increases tissue oxygenation, is highlighted as a powerful treatment option to combat these symptoms. In addition to hyperbaric therapy, treatments like testosterone and quinine are suggested to aid healing and reduce inflammation. Reducing sugar intake and monitoring blood oxygen levels are also recommended to improve overall health. There are growing concerns about how both Long Covid and the Covid vaccine may contribute to issues like sleep apnea and blood vessel constriction, leading to long-term complications. It's advised that individuals who feel persistent fatigue, brain fog, or joint pain seek help before these issues progress further. “Understanding the dangers of visceral fat: it’s more than just a waistline issue. Learn why it matters for your health” 🫀🫁Every organ in our body has got required amount of fat surrounding them, which helps in providing cushion effect to organs in-turn protecting them from any kind of damage! 🙅🏼♂️But Excess Visceral fat, is crucial to address due to its significant health implications. 🗣️Its importance stems from its association with various metabolic disorders, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension. When visceral fat increases, it can lead to insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, inflammation, and ultimately metabolic syndrome. 🙋🏻♀️In females, heightened visceral fat raises the risk of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), infertility, and breast cancer. Additionally, it may affect hormonal balance, exacerbating menopausal symptoms and increasing the likelihood of osteoporosis. 🙋🏻For males, excessive visceral fat contributes to low testosterone levels, erectile dysfunction, and an increased risk of prostate cancer. Furthermore, it heightens the likelihood of developing sleep apnea, which can further exacerbate cardiovascular issues. Overall, the accumulation of visceral fat poses serious health risks for both genders, highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to mitigate its effects. #VisceralFat #HealthRisk #MetabolicSyndrome #Wellness #HealthyLiving #GenderHealth #Awareness #BodyFat #PreventiveHealth #lifestylechanges
