As storytellers, we often overlook the immense value we bring to our clients. By “storytellers,” I’m referring to the agencies and organizations that are entrusted with capturing the essence of an event—the moments and emotions that define it. Last week, Brand Speaks Life had the honor of being commissioned by Angel Fair Africa, marking a milestone in their 11-year journey. Our mission was threefold: 1. Pre-Event Storytelling We crafted a narrative that captured a decade of Angel Fair Africa's journey into a 5-minute story. It’s incredible how a story spanning 10 years can come alive in just a few minutes, setting the perfect tone on the launch day. 2. Photography That Brings Events to Life We were there to capture the spirit of the event with high-quality images that showcased every emotion, every connection, and the energy in the room. The feedback was humbling—everyone valued the impact of quality photography that made the event unforgettable. 3. Post-Event Video Campaigns To complete the story, we’re now working on video campaigns answering the “5Ws and Hs” of the event: Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How—capturing the purpose, process, and impact of this milestone event. Being trusted by Eric Osiakwan and Chanzo Capital to bring their vision to life has been a true honor. Moments like these remind us of the powerful impact storytelling can have in making memories timeless. #Storytelling #EventPhotography #VideoCampaign #AngelFairAfrica #BrandSpeaksLife

Many Startup Founders we have met in Dubai, even seasoned and serial Entrepreneurs have confessed about the challenges of raising in Dubai, UAE, GCC or larger MENA After listening, observing and learning from them, the only response was to raise elsewhere and build in the region Venturing and Investing in early stage startup is a game far beyond capital availability In fact, Money is just the 20%, there are others remaining 80% that have to come together. It's not easy. Shifting the traditional investor mindset into a high risk one that accommodates a lot of factors and makes fast decisions is tough Till then, founders would be smart to look elsewhere. Here is an opportunity from Pear VC

Today is a very special day for Djassi Africa, as we officially announce our new Afropreneurs Brasil Fellowship and reveal our powerful cohort of 25 Fellows! We’ve been planning Djassi Africa’s entry in the Brazilian startup and innovation ecosystem for the past two years and it brings us excitement and fulfilment to see it now coming into fruition. This is a strategic market for us, and we are looking forward to collaborating with the different pillars of the Brazilian ecosystem and giving our contribution to level the playing field for Black Founders in the country. We are launching the Afropreneurs Fellowship to increase the presence, visibility, and success rate of Black Founders in global innovation and entrepreneurship stages, including leading events and acceleration programmes. It’s imperative to increase the representation of all underrepresented and underserved groups across these global stages, as the lack of diversity and equity is costing entrepreneurship ecosystems returns, talent, and innovation. This agenda is not about charity, but economics and humanity. Please help us celebrate these 25 Afropreneur Fellows, building impactful and scalable startups across multiple industries and solving Brasil’s greatest challenges. And in a couple of weeks, you’ll be able to find all of them exhibiting (as both Alpha and Beta startups), pitching, and speaking at Web Summit Rio! The AfroTech movement is coming to Rio de Janeiro, and we would like to thank our incredible partners at Web Summit for building and enabling this platform with Djassi Africa. #AfropreneursFellowship #AfropreneursBrasil #BlackFounders #DjassiAfrica #WebSummitRio

🌟 Turning Adversity into Opportunity: Our Founders Fair Journey When we applied for the Founders Fair, we knew there would be challenges. Meilia Wongso, my co-founder, had to be away in her home country. Despite this hurdle, we decided to take the leap and apply anyway. Our original plan, Plan A, involved partnering with Swinburne University for student internships. Unfortunately, low enrollments led to the collapse of this arrangement. Around the same time, we received the thrilling news of our selection for the fair. Yet, our excitement was tempered by the realization that executing our stall without Meilia would be a daunting task. From setting up at 8:30 AM to wrapping up at 5 PM, the prospect of single-handedly managing the event loomed large. Complicating matters, our planned creative arts activity, meant to showcase our workshops, was in jeopardy. Determined not to falter, we swiftly devised Plan B. We reached out to friends, but something didn't quite fit. Then, inspiration struck. Why not call upon the very individuals who had benefited from our workshops? Our participants, the heart and soul of our mission, became our Plan C. With gratitude, we welcomed three of our past participants Sahana Sai Narain Mariah Mei Sing CHAN to assist us at the fair. Their enthusiasm and dedication reaffirmed why we do what we do, despite the challenges. Over the next few days, we'll be spotlighting these incredible volunteers who exemplify resilience and community spirit. Their involvement underscores a vital lesson: where there's a will, there's a way. Join us at the Start space on the day of the fair to meet our team and volunteers. Register now to explore a showcase of remarkable businesses and founders from across Victoria. Happy 76th Anniversary, Israel! Despite the challenges and hardships of the past few months, today we celebrate 76 years of our beloved country. There are many wishes we would like to extend to Israel, but first and foremost is to see all our hostages back home again, safely reunited with their families. In the face of adversity, Israel has consistently demonstrated resilience and strength. As we look to the future, our aspirations are clear: May this year bring peace on all fronts, may our nation stand firm and united, and may our entrepreneurial spirit continue to thrive. Here's to another year of innovation and progress, with countless entrepreneurs creating transformative tech startups that tackle the most intricate enterprise challenges. StageOne Ventures

Sales doesn’t have to be a solo game— we can grow together, that’s why I’m building this community. The Conquer Sales Community in #Lithuania is growing for one simple reason it seems: people need it. They’re not just connecting; they’re learning, sharing, and supporting each other through their challenges. Here’s what makes it powerful: 1. A space for real connection: The growth shows there’s a genuine hunger for human connection in the sales world. 2. Shared learning: Every challenge someone shares becomes a lesson for others, and that kind of collaboration is invaluable. 3. Supportive relationships: This community is about more than sales tactics—it’s about people coming together to grow, both personally and professionally. Join a community that’s all about shared success—let’s build something great together! Check out our events here: https://lu.ma/conquersales
The day after Startup Lithuania’s #startupfair and this band of braves still had the strength to network a little more! You won’t believe us but no two people in this photo is of the same nationality! 🤯 Another crazy fact, there’s one of only 5 Greeks in Lithuania in this meetup, sadly he missed the photo 😂 (I still tagged Gerasimos). A good group that connected and shared. A great way to finish a great week of networking! The next Conquer Sales event is next Tuesday evening, the last rooftop meetup before the end of the season… the last one of 2024… before we have to do them inside. Are you joining?
