Women are more vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, often due to limited representation in decision-making, which results in overlooking critical voices that can help accelerate just climate action. It’s time to change that. The Women Climate Collective (WCC) is a platform dedicated to supporting and elevating climate leaders who drive inclusive climate action. Over the past two years, WCC has united women with diverse expertise, with our leaders developing solutions that span various industries and tackle the complexities of climate change. Women demonstrate over and over again that we are a force for change. Women consistently prioritize the safety, security, and wellbeing of their families, often with limited resources to achieve their goals. Build Change helps to ensure women's full and equal participation in home improvement, strengthening, and rebuilding. Women homeowners represent over 60% of Build Change’s clients. We shift power to women so they can better protect themselves and their families when faced with earthquakes and extreme weather, grow their assets and home-based businesses, and lead the march toward resilient housing for all. Women are responsible borrowers and fierce stewards of their family’s safety. Women leaders in government, private sector, and civil society are creating change every day in the housing sector, and we are proud to collaborate closely with them.

People living in climate-vulnerable communities need sustainable solutions—now. Within these fragile contexts, women bear the weight of feeding and providing for their families, often with fewer resources. And without inclusive, climate-smart innovations, more than 3 billion people will face acute hunger by 2050. Mercy Corps’ Women’s Climate Alliance is working to rewrite this narrative by partnering with women to position them as leaders in climate innovation and equipping them with the tools to build resilience within their communities. Because, together, we can cultivate real, sustainable change. Learn more about the Women's Climate Alliance: https://lnkd.in/gfyD4w-T #women #climate #internationaldevelopment #humanitarianaid
