"My BE-The-Change Project "
As a Second-Year Teach For Nigeria Fellow in Owu-Ijebu, a low-income community, I've witnessed firsthand the harsh realities of educational inequity. For over a year, I've lived among the resilient people of Owu-Ijebu, listening to their stories, and understanding their struggles.

The Struggle is Real:
Imagine walking 2 hours every day, just to get to school. For students from Orunwa, Isomo, Oke-eki, and Ifodo communities, this is their daily reality. The exhaustion, the burden, and the lost opportunities are heartbreaking.
-
A Dream Deferred:
Limited access to education perpetuates inequality, stifling the potential of young minds. I've seen talented students struggle to participate in school activities, their enthusiasm dwindling with each passing day.
-
A Solution Born of Empathy:
After extensive research and stakeholder engagement, I'm thrilled to announce "Project Transform the Narrative", a project which is aimed at establishing a secondary school in the heart of these communities!
-
What is the transformative Impact?
This school will:
- Increase access to education for over 2000 students
- Boost school participation and academic performance
- Foster economic growth through job creation and local investment
- Empower youth to drive positive change
