Low-frequency focused ultrasound (FUS) therapy in conjunction with intravenous microbubbles can transiently disrupt the BBB in a localized manner to facilitate drug delivery. 👀Did yo know that Atherosclerosis is the major pathological contributor to cardiovascular disease? Researchers developed a novel approach that utilizes biocompatible hyaluronic acid (HA)-guided cerasomes nanoparticles to selectively target CD44-positive cells within vulerable atherosclerotic plaques. Great news: The Bruker 9.4T #MRI was used to address the challenge of noninvasive screening and regression therapy for those plaques. Encapsulating rosuvastatin (RST), a lipid-lowering drug, in the HA-CC-RST nano-formulation led to significant plaque regression compared to free drug treatment.
