Unlocking the potentials In Nigeria As my sister tuned in to Channels Television to join the live conversation on The Platform Nigeria hosted by the founder and senior pastor of The Covenant Nation (TCN) an event centered on nation building, I paid keen attention to the first two speakers because the past events have helped intensified the passion I have developed towards making significant impacts as a citizen to my country’s growth, and shaping the foundation of the leadership skills I have acquired. Kola Adesina, MFR, FNSE shared very insightful views that I will be adopting and I noted them in my journal: • Build an intellectual and provocative perspective even in a challenging or negative environment and this will birth great ideas and innovations • Build a growth mindset, harness your talent and multiply value (those who multiply value become billionaires) • For you to make gain, you need to first solve a customers pain (every customer is ready to pay you for replacing their pains with value • Integrity is vital in any business: integrity is not something you document, it is portrayed. • Preparedness, adaptiveness and gaining knowledge is fundamental (knowledge is inexhaustible therefore, we need to lean on one another to grow). Embracing a Growth Mindset in Nigeria Nigerians are known for their resilience, creativity, and vibrant culture. However, sometimes, limiting beliefs and fixed mindsets can hold us back from achieving our full potential. What's a fixed mindset? Imagine believing your intelligence and abilities are fixed and unchangeable. This can lead to phrases like "I'm not good at math" or "I'm not a natural leader." But the good news is ! Winning is living intentionally! The past 6 months of 2024 have been nothing short of amazing wins as an undergraduate University of Nigeria, Nsukka, a leader, student, innovator, change driver and most importantly a determined follower dedicated to learning. It is also true that I have with no doubt been faced with countless challenges during this time. sometimes overwhelmed, discouraged and feeling the need to withdraw but at the end I some how overcome and see the light at the end of the tunnel. At the face of every challenge, I remind myself of my biggest resolution for 2024, to live intentionally, to be accountable to myself for every single thing that concerns me, big or small. soon I learnt that for every problem I faced it only looked like a big problem because that version of myself is still very small compared to the problem.The size of the problem is never the issue, what matters is the size of you! I am grateful for the seventh month and all the wins it holds, still very intentional about the results I will produce in this month. The most exciting news is that I will be sharing most of my major wins, activities and events from the past 6 months to remind myself of how accountable I have been.
