Lessons from My Internship at GEP Worldwide Last week, I completed my internship at GEP Worldwide as an Intern-Consultant. Reflecting on this incredible journey, I gained several significant lessons that I believe will be valuable throughout my career: 1. Be Proactive - During our mid-reviews, we were encouraged to be proactive by bringing recommendations, insights, and analyses on our own initiative, even if not explicitly asked. This not only shows initiative but also contributes significantly to the project's success. 2. Understand the Bigger Picture -  Knowing the details inside-out is essential. I learned to thoroughly read the Scope of Work, contracts, and understand how my two months of work would contribute to the overall project and the company's objectives. 3. Leverage Organizational Knowledge - The most important asset for an intern is the knowledge of the organization's employees. Many of my peers and I found that the firm appreciated interns who actively sought answers and solutions from their colleagues, enhancing both learning and collaboration. 4. Build Personal Connections - An internship is an excellent opportunity to connect with people beyond just professional interactions. Building personal relationships with fellow interns and employees not only aids networking but also creates a supportive and enriching environment. 5. Build accountability towards work - There were times when many of my colleagues and I worked on weekends to complete deliverables. Dedicate yourself fully and complete every task. This reflects your responsibility towards the work assigned. 6. Enjoy the Experience - Most importantly, enjoy the work you are doing. Take it as an opportunity to learn, grow your skills, and expand your knowledge. Enjoying your work makes the entire experience more fulfilling. I am grateful to the amazing team at GEP Worldwide. Here's to continuous learning and professional growth! #Internship #CareerDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth #LearningJourney #GEPWorldwide
