🚀 Empowering Micro Food Processing Enterprises in India! 🇮🇳 The Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme is transforming the landscape for micro food processing units, aiming to enhance competitiveness and formalization. Here are the key highlights: 🔹 Duration: 2020-21 to 2025-26 🔹 Financial Outlay: ₹10,000 Crore 🔹 Objective: Support and upgrade micro food processing enterprises, especially in the unorganized sector, through the One District One Product (ODOP) strategy. 💰 Financial Assistance: 1. Individual/Group Micro Enterprises: 35% credit-linked capital subsidy (max ₹10 lakh/unit). 2. Self-Help Groups (SHGs): Seed capital of ₹40,000/member (max ₹4 lakh/SHG). 3. Common Infrastructure: 35% subsidy (max ₹3 crore) for FPOs, SHGs, and cooperatives. 4. Branding and Marketing Support: Up to 50% grant for branding and marketing to groups of FPOs, SHGs, cooperatives, or SPVs of micro food processing enterprises. 5. Capacity Building: Training for Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP+) tailored to the food processing industry and specific product skills. 📈 R&D Support: Up to 100% grant-in-aid for government institutions and 50% for private entities to foster innovation in food processing.
