Domenico Maria Caprioli presented the CROP project and announced the imminent opening of enrolment for the master's degree course that is one of the outcomes of this project. We must not allow ourselves to be conditioned by a kind of research rhetoric and we must have the courage to talk about technologies, even deep technologies, in terms of opportunities, clarifying in detail and without reservations what applications and what usefulness they may have in various fields. And we must do so even more when the application areas are distant from technology and, in general, from a scientific and quantitative forma mentis. This is one of the objectives of the CROP master's degree and the philosophy with which we have embraced this initiative.
