Sitting in the Graebel Singapore office and reflecting on the last few days - what an incredible experience at the ATMA and ERC events, as well as the Graebel Partner Summit 2024 this morning. Despite the current challenges facing the global mobility market, I can't help but feel a profound sense of optimism. As I gaze out the window at the bustling city skyline, I'm reminded that even in the midst of uncertainty, there is a bright light shining ahead. The global mobility industry may look different, but it is undoubtedly full of untapped potential and possibilities. Together, alongside our partners and clients, I believe we can overcome the obstacles and unlock new avenues for growth. So let's lean into the excitement of this evolving landscape and continue pushing the boundaries of what's possible in global mobility. Here is to the world ahead. Graebel Companies, Inc. A recent comment from Jason Calacanis about Europe (being a “tech skansen”) struck me as both obvious yet thought-provoking—enough that I wanted to share it with you. Tomorrow, I’m heading to Bits & Pretzels, one of Europe’s largest VC-startup conferences. There's an opening discussion on Kickstart Europe Report 2024. We’ve heard many discussions about how to break free from Europe’s stagnation, but the real question is: are we capable of doing anything more than relying on growth driven by government interventions? And the more practical question that every startup CEO is asking himself: build in Europe, or leave this “skansen”?
✂️ Imagine US being like Europe ...

Start ups should be solving problems for users, whether that is a consumer or a business. Often, the difficulty for founders is finding a problem which if solved, can provide direct impact to users while also being profitable. That's why an initiative like the Indonesia - Japan Fast Track Pitch Event is so important. Conglomerates and large corporates sharing their problems, to be solved by innovators and disruptors. I was honored to part of the launch (https://lnkd.in/g7wgZTdq) hosted by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, ERIA: Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia and JETRO - Japan External Trade Organization as a partner from ASEAN-BAC. Participation is still open! Find out more at https://lnkd.in/gZiaR8sq #Japan #fasttrackpitchevent #asean #startups #pitching #startup #ABAC #JETRO

Mr. Itai Green recently participated in a panel discussion at South Summit Brazil 2024 titled "Thriving Together: Open Innovation Unleashed." The conversation was nothing short of provocative, challenging conventional wisdom and shedding light on the crucial gap between theoretical knowledge and practical innovation. The panel delved deep into the dynamics between academia and industry, exploring how the theoretical frameworks taught in universities often fail to apply in the real world. While research shows the average success rate for startup pilots in corporations is only 30%, Innovate-Israel data shows that when corporations use the proper tools and methodology to collaborate, the success rate rises to 70%! The panelists shared unique insights on how to bridge this gap and harness the power of open innovation to drive meaningful change. They dissected the challenges organizations face when attempting to translate theoretical concepts into actionable strategies, emphasizing the need for collaboration, and had a heated discussion on this matter. Collaboration is the only way for organizations to remain relevant. Corporations cannot rely only on internal innovation, or they will disappear. Watch the video now to learn how to do it right and innovate in a rapidly changing world. https://lnkd.in/dRqWnUGF Sebastian W. ! Do you know what is RIVs? European regions to become Regional Innovation Valleys (RIVs), to strengthen European innovation ecosystems connecting all EU territories, address Europe’s societal challenges and foster stronger cohesion. The Regional Innovation Valleys – which shall harness the potential of deep-tech innovation across the different EU territories and address the innovation divide – are a key initiative under Flagship 3 of the New European Innovation Agenda (NEIA). The aim is to identify 100 regions committed to better coordinating their research and innovation investments and policies and to collaborating on interregional innovation projects. The initiative builds on smart specialisation strategies across Europe and, where applicable, on participation in the PRI Pilot Action. And 🚀🚀🚀 the driving force of RIVs in LT is Jekaterina Kaliniene, EMBA - congratulations👏.

A recent article on #StartupRiseEU - a platform that publishes news and stories from the startup scene - shared a post that featured me as a founder and the CEO of Moombix, or more precisely as "someone who has turned their passion into a business". First of all, many thanks for the kind words and the spotlight on Moombix in that article. That was thought-provoking and an interesting angle. Whereas I understand and appreciate the statement; music is a passion to most who practise it and a musician who became a music-tech developer is not so common. A slight shift of careers there. For me music is certainly a passion, but it’s more than that. It is a part of my identity inside and out, of my background and my upbringing. It is woven into my friendships and family life. However building something new is also a passion for me as for most entrepreneurs I believe. As an entrepreneur you are constantly using your creative mind to find solutions to problems, you are a stage director bringing people together and then you have to make sure that all the cells in the company are on fire, and that your people are motivated to bring in more ideas. Your team needs to be aligned and inspired to create with you something that has an impact, something great or even more than great and passion is the key to success, without it, no company thrives for long. I have on the other hand not been attentive enough about my music lately. I recently bumped into this playlist of mine on SoundCloud and thought of sharing it. It has all sorts of music with various purposes and no direction. Another channel with more vocal and live performances is under my name on YT. Here, however is my personal favourite from this collection -called Look South. Please listen with headphones if interested. 💕 #music #edtech #passion #moombix
