Mastering Sales: The Art of Being a Jockey in the Race of Life In horse racing, the jockey’s role goes beyond just riding—it’s about balancing talent, perseverance, and the ability to endure hardship. The jockey must connect with the horse, guiding its energy and navigating challenges with precision, grit, and focus. This is a powerful metaphor for excelling in sales. Just like the jockey, sales professionals must harness their talents while pushing through daily obstacles. Perseverance in the face of rejection, hardship, and long days is what defines success. Every client interaction is a new race. By staying focused, keeping the reins tight on discipline, and guiding our efforts with strategy, we win. Sales, like horse racing, isn’t just about the finish line—it’s about mastering the art of endurance and execution every step of the way. So, saddle up, stay persistent, and let every sale be your next victory.

There is no super power to be good at sales .... Okay maybe you don't agree but that's the beauty of sales. It isn't linear. I once told a rep Jimmy Jia , think of it like jumping into a pool. We jump in and get out with the order. One person might cannonball in, another may slip in, while a third may dive. Then swim underwater, doggie paddle or freestyle to edge. But one thing that kills a deal .... Don't f/u (A friend asked why I typed this not knowing meaning) But if you tell someone you will follow-up Simply DO IT Repeat DO IT Now if you tell them a timeframe keep In touch and advise them you are working on it. Keep Grinding #HappyMonday #SalesIdeas #TWS (Missed my 8:30 deadline by 3 min - DOH)

JUST LIKE GOLF SALES LOOKS SIMPLE - ALL YOU DO IS ASK AND ANSWER QUESTIONS AND THE ORDERS JUST FLOW IN... THE MAJOR DIFFERENT BETWEEN GOLF AND SALES IS THAT IF A GOLFER TELLS YOU THEY ARE GREAT, ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS ASK THEIR SCORE... #SALES

🔄 Sharing this brilliant analogy on sales and golf! ⛳️ Sales might look easy at first glance, but mastering it is a whole different ball game. Just like in golf, you can pick up the basics quickly, but it takes years of practice to even reach a decent level. The real challenge is learning from each swing (or deal!) and constantly refining your approach. Patience, persistence, and adaptability are key. What’s your biggest takeaway in the pursuit of mastering (complex) sales? #SalesMastery #KeepImproving #SalesSkills #GrowthMindset #SalesChallenge #MasterComplexSales

my hypothetical round of golf based on yesterday's driving range performance: - Only 1 ball lost due to wild slice off the tee - WAY longer drives than normal?? (good bit of left to right though) - pretty straight/accurate long irons, but not hitting all that far - decent middle irons + wedges - no putting today, so that's a wild card Depending on the difficulty of the course I think I'm playing what I like to call bogey + golf (just a few strokes over bogey golf). Here's what that might look like: - 3 pars - 8 bogeys - 5 double bogeys (poor putting probably) - 2 triple bogeys (wild tee shots, poor recoveries) On a par 72, I'll hypothetically card a 94 for a +22 on the day. Not my best, but can't complain. (mainly because it didn't actually happen). And the truth is, I probably got just a little bit better by going out there and swinging the sticks. All about the reps. turn that in to a lesson on b2b sales, why don't you? Here's to better days ahead - happy Tuesday 🤘

As the world's best golfers gather for the PGA Championship, we're reminded of the power of focus, precision, and persistence. Just like these athletes, our sales team has the potential to achieve greatness. Here are a few lessons we can learn from the greens: -Master Your Craft: Golfers spend countless hours perfecting their swing. Let's dedicate ourselves to mastering our sales techniques, understanding our products, and knowing our clients' needs. -Stay Focused: On the course, every shot counts. In sales, every call, email, and meeting is an opportunity to close a deal. Stay present and give your best effort in each interaction. -Embrace Challenges: Just as golfers face bunkers and water hazards, we encounter obstacles in our sales journey. Embrace these challenges as chances to grow and learn. -Consistency is Key: Success in golf comes from consistent performance. Aim for steady, reliable progress in your sales goals. Small, consistent actions lead to big wins. -Celebrate Your Wins: Whether it's a birdie on the course or closing a major deal, celebrate your successes. Recognizing achievements boosts morale and keeps us motivated. As the PGA Championship unfolds, let's channel the spirit of the game into our sales efforts. Stay driven, stay focused, and let's hit our targets! Remember, in sales, just like in golf, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Let's get out there and make every swing count! #SalesMotivation #TeamSuccess #StayFocused #CelebrateWins

Sales is like golf. It’s not just about knowing what to do - it’s about how well you do it. In golf, the perfect swing means nothing if you can’t hit it consistently. In sales, a good pitch only works if you deliver it right every time. Success comes from mastering the execution.

Golf and Sales, very similar. Take a 2 minutes to listen to Brian Burns break down what it takes to be good at sales. Quick summary, it takes practice, repetition, and feedback. Knowledge is Power.

What a dilema! 2 grandsons. And both are very headstrong When I say the word stop The older one looks and just keeps going The younger one says No and laughs! One is keen to be a pro footballer and the other a pro racing car driver! At times keeping staff on focus is as challenging as these grandies. What a week. To my knowledge sales is sales and getting clients and dollars in the door. Marketing : these are activities that a company undertakes to promote the buying or selling of its products or services ie promotional etc #marketing #pointofdifference #sales
