3 KEYS TO STRENGTHEN YOUR CONFIDENCE IN SALES

What do you see?

I see experienced sales professionals on a platform that many people from an older generation dislike, demonstrating how to become world class at sales.

Sales is a skillset that if more people in this world knew how to do, would have better relationships, more money, and greater confidence that they are the creator of their future.

Sounds like an overstatement?

I don't think so.

3 Keys To Strengthen Your Confidence

The Hero Mindset is about focusing on small things that make a big difference to become a hero in your own story.

Cultivate Confidence is the first pillar inside The Hero Mindset Blueprint, and it is made up of three components.

Matched Mentorship is about connecting with experienced leaders who have walked the path before you. It's about being intentional in who you learn from through areas such as your preferred style, method, industry, or language.

Check in with yourself. Are you being intentional about who you learn from? Do you make time to reach out to established mentors?

Leveraged Wisdom is about diving deeper into information and resources they have created to absorb and soak in their knowledge. Have they written books? Do they have a blog or newsletter? What social channels are they on that you use?

Many experienced and talented sales leaders have information available for you to learn from. Will you go out of your way for continued learning?

Accelerated Awareness is about understanding your own thoughts. In the game of sales, understanding how other people think is a critical component of selling, but if you continue to get in your own way with limiting beliefs, you will stop the sales process before your customer ever does.

How many times does your negative sub conscious feelings self-sabotage your success?

Confidence Takes Time

Like most skills, learning to become great at sales take time to develop. When you begin, the effort you put into something feels extremely out of proportion for the amount of time you are investing.

You try so hard to become better, yet you make very little progress.

However with time, your level is skill increases and it takes perhaps minutes to accomplish a feat that once took you hours to do.

Accelerating You Confidence

Today I challenge you to reflect upon how you are feeding your mindset to strengthen your sales confidence.

What works for me is TikTok. I was shown by my coach, Dan Martell, to leverage the fast and direct way of learning how to overcome sales objections by literally studying experts on that platform.

How I apply The Hero Mindset in this situation:

  1. I connected with and hired my business coach (Dan Martell)
  2. I read and consumed his book multiple times (Leveraged Wisdom)
  3. We discussed limiting beliefs, how to overcome them, and where to go repeat this process of learning from others and how he does it (Accelerated Awareness)

You don't need to learn from TikTok, but what's great about that platform versus, say, YouTube, is that it's super short and punchy and you get to see the sales call in action, usually in under 90 seconds.

Experts I enjoy following are Renzo Guevarra (@renzo_guevarra) and @davidthesalesangel, though you can find some other experts like Jeffery Gitomer (@thekingofsales) and Mark Coffin (@closingwithcoffin).

Find what and who works for you. Just don’t leave this to chance.

Adopting The Hero Mindset is about focusing on small things that make a big difference to become a hero in your own story.

Instead of leaving things to chance, take charge and cultivate your own confidence using the framework above.
