3 Tips on Launching Your Website.

Welcome back to my Get social tips. I am the creative director at Coast2CoastCreative, and we are your media department. 

The first thing is to have control over your domain. I recently came across a client. We’re building their website right now, and they lost their domain. The good thing is we were able to find something similar, they kept their business name and basically ride along the same site or the site that they lost before. But that's happened to me before, and so we really want to make sure that doesn’t happen to anyone that we work with. And I understand how that feels. So One, take control of your domain, meaning setup your own account to have that domain. 

Two hosting is not $100’s a month. It’s really like $10, $20 a month. And you can do that where you set up your domain, too. 

The third thing is, when you're running ads, make sure that you're running it on your own site, to your own website, because what you're doing is you’re paying for traffic to somebody else's site and helping them with their rankings instead of your own. And when you stop working with them, you’re going to have to start all over and build your own for your own site. 

These are the three things. 1. Take control of your own domain. That means your own login, your own password, your own account. 2. Hosting does not have to cost hundreds of dollars a month.
