The 5 most common mistakes about a healthy lifestyle

1.    TAKING SUPERFICIAL INFORMATION AS YOUR RULES – most people read about this superfood or that new diet and think that this would THE right way to go in order for them to reach their health goal. But it’s not! Holistic health is complex and so are your individual bodies and minds – so it is of really high importance to take a closer look and frequently question ourselves if what we are all excited about maybe is just another health trend.

2.    BELIEVING IN ONE-APPROACH-FITS-ALL – this goes hand in hand with the first mistake. On the one hand we all want to be unique which we are, but on the other hand we just automatically assume that when it comes to health (physical and mental) that there is just one right way to go, one way how to lose weight or just one way to finally feel thoroughly happy. But the opposite is the case! Of course, there are some general patterns that are unhealthy or food which is nourishing for our bodies. But it is so much more than that in order to really make a change and be happily healthy.

3.    COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS – our society is very biased when it comes to body image and everything that comes with it. That makes us compare to false ideals that are simply too skinny and unhealthy! So be aware of that when scrolling through social media.

4.    NOT LISTENING TO YOUR INDIVIDUAL SELF – I’ve already experienced so many people that just follow along a new diet or buy the hottest new health product in town and are then wondering why this is not working for them. We are all very different and should not become “victims” of the industry, but rather really regularly take mindful moments and give our intuition and gut feeling also a say in our decisions.

5.    UNDERESTIMATING THE POWER OF COACHING – a lot of people do not understand the value-add about coaching as they seem to already know everything about health and what’s the right approach for them. That’s completely true! I’ve made the experience that actually a lot of people know how e.g. healthy nutrition works, but they are still not able to really put it into practice. Why? Because it is a hard process to go for on your own. This is what coaching is for: helping you guide the challenging way to really make a change and reach your goals.

If you can find yourself in some of those points – we all have – and would like to finally take a really healthy approach on your lifestyle, drop me a message. I’m super excited to work with you!

Have a great day!
