An 88% increase in organic traffic with a simple SEO strategy
Our first month with this client got us over 100 organic conversions.
88% increase in organic traffic than what they used to get.
So f**k it, let me share the strategy with you.
This will be the most useful thing you read about SEO and Google this week:
First of all, we had to solve a problem. The problem was that the client used to chase keywords that had no buying intent. The website was doing a few hundred organic searches.
So what did we do differently?
Well, we had to change our content strategy. You can steal it.
Let's breakdown everything:
1. Buying intent
Your readers should convert after reading your content i.e. buy your product or service. But if your content is ONLY about "6 methods to feed ducks", it's less likely your readers want to buy from you.
So what can you do?
One of the best ways is to maintain a balance between informational and commercial keywords. Most of your keyword tools have this feature by default. They will allow you to choose and explore keywords that come with a buying intent.
2. Build content
For this client, it was pretty simple. We also used their informative blogs to link to their commercial pages aka service pages.

3. Readability
Most content on the internet is boring.
But you can make it less boring - starting with writing a killer intro.
We followed Brian Dean's simple content strategy from Exploding Topics - make your content easy to read.
4. Source of information
That's not all. We even did a strong interlinking.
Most importantly, all the important information that drives action and helps people make a decision, we highlighted that in the simplest ways - images and blocks.
5. A clear content structure
This is stupidly simple, but so many fail to apply it.
You can't just ramble for 30-40 paragraphs. We really try to get our clients to script around a clear structure. In this case, a listicle...
The listicle structure reframes the classic listicle format as a jigsaw, so each piece of the video is giving the viewer the full picture.
My listicle should be a+b+c+d= solution.
Not just random points loosely tied together
The result of this was interestingly very expected and clear.
