Airtastic - The Journey so far.

Having spent the best part of twenty years looking after corporate customers, team building events and welcoming groups from all walks of life, I have really found a home from home in my new role with Airtastic Entertainment Centres.

 I joined Airtastic as Business Operations Director in October 2021 and threw myself into a rapidly changing, growing business that was taking the whole of Ireland by storm. They already held the bragging rights for four state-of-the-art centres that spanned from Cork to Craigavon and from Belfast to Bangor.

 Sporting a wide range of leisure facilities that includes giant Inflata parks, ten pin bowling lanes, trampolines, soft play frames, cafes, enormous amusement arcades and New York style diners – it was extremely clear (and very quickly) that this business was the real deal.

Fast forward nearly three years and the business has continued to grow at an incredible rate of knots.

 In February 2022 Airtastic acquired and took over Base Entertainment Centre in Celbridge, County Kildare.

Airtastic Kildare boasts the largest soft play frame in Ireland for children aged 11 years and under, and a 75 table café offering a generous selection of food & drinks for children and parents alike.

With ten pin bowling also on offer and a first class 18-hole space adventure golf course, this centre is far from just for the little ones. The American style diner offers food & drink options for all occasions and is a one stop shop for all things fun and recreation.

Coming this summer the centre will also offer a Battle for New York themed Laser Tag arena that will be the envy of the Greater Dublin area, and is the perfect activity for friends, families, parties, groups and team building.

 In March 2023 the Airtastic portfolio expanded even further with the acquisition of Lisburn Bowl. Phase one of this expansion involved opening and operating their entire 18 bowling lanes, re-branding and re-vamping their in-house restaurant to become NY Urban Pizza, along with expanding and re-invigorating their extensive amusement arcade.

Phase two of the operation involved a complete new build on the first floor to introduce two exciting new activities to the organisation - the Battle for New York Laser Tag arena and Ultimate Challenges, a fantastic and unique game experience offering 30 challenge rooms to conquer as a team. Lisburn is the perfect destination for corporate entertainment, team building and an ideal location for company-wide fun and games.

 By the time my 3rd work anniversary takes place the business will already offer 6 state-of-the-art Airtastic Entertainment Centres. Laser Tag will have been introduced into Belfast, Lisburn and Kildare. Every centre will operate fully cashless and fun card-operated amusement arcades. Ultimate Challenges will be established in Lisburn and Airtastic is already firmly cemented as the number one leisure and entertainment business in the whole of Ireland.

3 years in and with a team of 400 and growing, I am extremely proud to be the Business Operations Director of Airtastic. From year to year it is a pleasure to watch the company evolve and grow. I can’t tell you exactly where and when the next location will come to be, but what I can tell you is that there will definitely be more centres and they will continue to innovate and lead the way in an industry that is designed for the young and old to have fun in equal measure.
