For anyone going through a hard time right now.
I was speaking with a client and she was telling me how she felt ashamed for not having saved for a “rainy day” when she was laid off.
For not having a financial cushion for this type of situation.
Feeling like she was going to struggle financially because she was in that unknown of not knowing where the money for survival would come from.
Here’s what I told her and what I want to tell you:
Sometimes the emotion is shame, sometimes it’s anger, sometimes it’s regret, or just good old fear setting in.
There’s no shortage of these emotions to be felt.
But we choose what we do with these emotions.
Because there are 2 things we grapple with.
1. The emotions themselves.
2. The list of things you think we “have to do right” to make the emotion go away.
And the emotion of shame, for example, can keep you from doing your “have to do’s” or it can fuel us forward to do more, more, more frantically and out of panic. - This feels terrible anyway.
The thing we fail to be with is that the emotion is a temporary, but very real part of us.
And it’s hard to act from that space effectively when we’re trying to stifle, “make go away” something that is a part of you during a challenging time in your life.
It’s like if someone is going through chemotherapy and they feel tired from the side effects, but they are trying to make themselves run a marathon anyway.
Because they believe so strongly that running that marathon is the “right” thing to do for survival.
It’s backward.
Many people treat “job hunting” as the marathon they think they have to run.
And they expect themselves to run this marathon in record time without injuring themselves even though they have not trained for it.
Also known as feeling they have to “get everything right” and “be in the exact right mood” and “say the right things” and have everything set up in case of an emergency, in order to “win the marathon” ( “convince people to hire them.” )
But “Job hunting” when we remove all the “rules” and the things everyone is told they “have to do” at its core what we actually are doing is a truthful conversation with people we want to create a mutually beneficial relationship with.
And we want to actually do work that matters (not just anything for anyone for any amount).
We want the people who hire us to care as much as we do.
We don’t want to kill ourselves trying to run a marathon perfectly we haven’t trained for.
Yet that’s what people are doing.
So in fact you only have one objective when you’re going through a difficult time.
If you're feeling shame, panic, fear, or discouraged emotions.
It’s this:
Being a human in the profession you’re in in the world.
Create and nurture an inner mental environment that matches who you want to be in this temporary stage of your life.
An inner eco-system that matches your mental health values.
And an inner eco-system that matches your financial values.
And everything flows more easily from there.
The relationship you want to create and care for with future humans who may hire you, can only ever be a reflection of your relationship with the different parts of yourself.
That’s why we choose certain environments and decide how long we stay in certain places (Yes we always have a choice).
It’s trying to rush out of the emotions to try to get to better emotions and all the things you do in between that make life harder living.
Instead of trying to jump from the emotions that are unpleasant and do anything to jump into better ones. Slow down for a moment.
Instead, explore something a little deeper and use the emotion as an opportunity to grow in your capacity to be with yourself and to understand yourself.
There is a shame, it’s not fun or does it feel good?
Many other emotions also suck, and that will consistently be a part of life because there’s no exit ramp off the human emotional experience.
How do you want to choose to interact with the emotions?
How do you want to tell people you meet your story?
Shame is the pointing inward of a bully’s voice that you heard once from outside of you.
How do you want to talk back to a bully when it is inside you?
What would you tell a child who came to you with this now?
Who do you say that you are, even in the middle of this situation?
What would you tell a child about who THEY are when going through a challenging period of their life?
How do you move through challenges when they come up in your life?
Because once this one is solved there will be more coming right after.
How much acknowledgement, understanding and care of your value as a unique human do you recognize at this time?
How much good do you get to see here?
What would you tell a child who came to you with this same problem?
In all of these questions, there is a space between what your primitive brain wants to say… and the choice to look with curiosity for how you WANT to grow and what you WANT to say and be in this time.
From the most challenging seasons of life have emerged the most genius ideas, and the most strength, innovation and success.
Nothing works like a necessity to create something new that’s never been created before.
This is how it’s worked for me and what I wish for you.
Awareness has to come first.
If you know anyone who is struggling right now, who has been laid off, who feels powerless financially, who’s struggling emotionally because of it.
Please pass this along to them to read.
Have a beautiful Friday.

P.S. The Value Vision Program Is underway. After this week the Value Creation and the Value Creation subconscious programming workshops will be complete and ready to watch.
Many of us, as I've learned have had trouble seeing our own professional unique value. And that comes from societal and programming from when we were young.
We didn’t have someone telling us and helping us point out what we were doing right. It was normally what we had not done and what we were doing wrong.
And even if we did get a lot of praise we were taught to be dismissive about it (especially women).
When we own our value and our uniqueness, it allows for a flow from your mind and into your bank account to happen with much less resistance.
For details SEE THE masterclass I taught HERE on How to Value Yourself in 2025 so you can get paid what you deserve.
The materials are coming together right now and the Bonuses are available immediately. Feel free to reply to this newsletter with any questions you have about this program.

2d🔥🔥🔥#TRUTH Natalie Fisher —Everything begins with our consciousness. Our imagination and inner dialogue literally create our real world experiences. When we are in tough times, it’s important to intropect as to not repeat any mirakes so we can learn. More importantly, we need to envision our end-game and put energy into visualization and feeling the scene where we are #winning. See and feel it vibrantly—using all of our physical senses to conjuur up the scene where our comeback is happening. The quickest way for me to get there is with a daily practice of gratitude—when #gratitudeistheattitude we can easily pivot from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset. Being present in the infinite #NOW is the easiest way to manage our thinking. #Breathe and nature are also key. Not looking back or too far ahead keeps us stable and away from doubt and fear—depression and anxiety’s ugly cousins. Thanks for sharing beautiful soul! 🙏🏼💖🤩👑 #GITA 🎤
